Style: Russian Imperial Stout

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 11.50%

Notes / Commercial Description:
Leon is a big beer. So big, it has twice as much malt as any other beer we brew.. On top of the copious amounts of two row barley, Munich, Victory, Chocolate, Black Patent, and Caramel 80 malt in this beer each 15 barrel brew has 50 pounds of freshly in-house handmade marshmallow fluff as well as 16 pounds of bittersweet bakers chocolate, and 30 pounds of crumbled graham crackers. Leon clocks in at just over 80 IBUs and 11.6% ABV. Does it taste like a Smore’s? That’s for you to decide, but either way this is one fun beer to make, not to mention drink.

A deep black pour with 2 fingers if tan head which dissipated into a long lasting 1/4" head, bits o creamy lacing. Smells awesome.. Sweet brown sugar/molasses, milk chocolate, oats, toasted grains, vanilla.
The flavor is a delicious array of sweet flavors with a subtle roast and a boozy kick. Vanilla, brown sugar, chocolate, almost a cookie dough like taste. Full body with medium carbonation makes for a smooth drink.. The alcohol is pretty subtle for being 11.6%... Yikes
This beer is absolutely awesome. Tasty beyond belief, high in abv, and at $10 is a hell of a deal compared to some of the overpriced bombers of soy sauce I've had the displeasure of tasting in the last few years.

Dark black pour, aroma is chocolate, bourbon,coffee...Very aromatic. Taste is caramel, chocolate. Very smooth and creamy, Thick. Good stuff....on tap at Blend. 11.6% is well masked.

Bottle to snifter. Aged about 15 months.

LOOK: thick dark black. Medium light brown head that fades, but lacing remains.
AROMA: chocolate cake, Graham crackers.
TASTE: more bittersweet chocolate.
Feel: thick. Chewy.

Still awesome.

1/27...bomber pours all out black. Thick as midnight, light rings of brown foam. Thick coffee nose, picks up the graham crackers too. Rich robust flavor, as kinds of tastes. Dark chocolate, coffee, milk, and the smore tastes are there too (but only b/c I am looking for it). The depth of flavor masks the alcohol, but it is in there. The result is outstanding.

Dark Brown appearance little to know head with lots of lacing

Smells of chocolate, marshmallow and predominantly graham cracker

Nice flavor of chocolate and marshmallow with a nice malt flavor to balance the sweetness with little to no bitterness

Very rich and velvety in your mouth full bodied feel with excellent flavors

Overall a great RIP only thing missing for me was the graham cracker...you can definitely smell it in the head but the flavor is just not there which is a little disappointing but still overall a surprisingly delicious Neshaminy Creek Beer

Look: Pours black with a nice brown head that leaves good lacing

Smell: Roasted malts, some nice toastyness, hints of marshmallow and graham

Taste: Roasted malts up front, toasted marshmallow, caramel, chocolate

Feel: Full body, light carbonation fitting the style

Overall: A very good, but not overpowering, imperial stout. Drinks easier than 11.5% would suggest. Enjoyable.
