A limited release version of our Winter stout offering brewed with two row barley, Munich, and Caramel malts, as well as coconut cream and milk added to the kettle; all ran through a hop back filled with 60 pounds of toasted shredded coconut before it hits the fermenter. The combination of bready malt, chocolate, coffee, and sweetness from the coconut and lactose give this beer a complexity beyond the ordinary. 7.2% ABV and only available in odd numbered years.

Pours a bit lighter than I would expect for a high gravity Stout. Mocha head short lived to a mild lace ring. Smell is on point chocolate coconut mounds bar goodness with little roast char or coffee to speak of. Taste is also pretty stellar chocolate not super sweet but enough to mask the bitterness and roast then some coconut slightly oily but not overbearing. Finish is slightly tannc but smooth. Body is on par have had sweeter milk stouts go down smoother but this one could be sessionable. Overall glad to tried this not too sweet chocolate flavor and not oily like suntan lotion.

I like milk stouts and coconut, so, IMHO, this beer is brewed to near perfection for my tastes. I have gone out of my way on several occasions to where this on draft. The coconut aroma and sweet finish makes for a great beer to pair with a sweet meal, like chicken and waffles, or to simply sip by itself.

After finding it, nearly 2 years ago, and with the limited brew cycle, I have not been lucky enough to find a keg for my home collection.

Recently, I did find this on draft, once again, at a local pub, so I am delighted it is available, once again, and am hopeful to find a keg to call my own.

If you like milk stouts and coconut brews, you need to try this and, I promise, you will not be disappointed.

Sampling a 16 oz cellar temp can poured into my snifter. The beer is part of a swap with @brendenw17. Thank you!
The beer pours coffee black with a creamy beige head of 1.5 cm that rests softly on the surface of my glass. The foam fades slowly to a very sturdy surface layer.
The aroma is HUGE with coconut!! WOW! I get fleshy coconut scents and sweet candi sugar notes with some vanilla and sweet coffee mocha. Pretty complex nose, but the coconut steals the show. No hop presence and any ABV is well hidden too.
The first sip reveals a medium body with very fine and tingly carbonation. The texture is smooth and does coat my palate a little bit after each sip. Flavor is roast coffee and dark chocolate mixing with a bit of brown sugar and then a big hit of sweet coconut comes in on the finish. I again dont find any hop presence and the ABV is muted here too.
I find this a pretty easy drinking stout and good, if you like coconut. IF you dont like coconut, dont even consider this beer as that is certainly the feature in this brew.
Tasty treat on this cold winter's eve!

Cloudy,muddy dark brown,almost black appearance
Very low carbonation with about a medium body. Has a slight thick thick creamy feel
Aroma is roasted malt, black coffee, milk chocolate, coconut and toasted coconut
Taste is a little sweet, with some coffee dark chocolate bitterness to balance it out. Milk chocolate, coconut and toasted coconut. Plenty of very distinct flavor with not one particular flavor washing out the others.
Overall it was a very decent novelty beer. Worked well as a dessert beer .

(4 oz pour at the brewery)

Same dark brown color as the base beer; good bit of lace... coconut explosion on the nose and palate; on the latter, much of the roast, chocolaty malt, and sweet expressions are buried by the featured flavoring, though they do eventually creep back up into the fold, but never to any degree of balance... Mounds aftertaste all day (which is decidedly lovely, for fans of that flavor), subtle shade of sweety chocolate chip lingers too... body has a bit more of a slick slide compared to the regular version, more tapered and oily; little carbonation felt... compared to the basic Mudbank, the body/feel of this seems superior, but the coconut is arguably too over the top, though delicious; lack of balance gives this a childish appeal, but I could probably destroy a pint of it if in the mood; worth a try! Dark brown with little to no head. Sweet aroma with a hint of coconut. Taste is chocolate and coconut, almost like a liquid Almond Joy, with a slight coffee finish. A little thin, but overall, not a bad beer.

3/5....pours deep dark chocolately brown, with off white foamy head. Creamy to the eye. Light chocolate nose, some coconut. Faint. Sweet milky flavorful stout. Lactose based sweetness with a mild coffee ground bitter to close. Very smooth. Fast finish. Really tasty stout.
