My sample was from an almost three-year old bottle.

Pours a dark reddish copper with just under a finger of head. The nose is nicely bready. The flavor profile has everything one might expect in a barleywine - malt, bread, raisins. The finish is pleasantly dry and still had a lingering essence of alcohol even after three years of aging.

Brewed in 2013. Bottle 462 of 600.Raisin reddish-brown in color with a heavy hazy, slightly murky appearance. Sweet dark fruit, raisin and date aromas with a strong malty backbone and earthy herbal hop notes. Slightly viscous, smooth, oily feel through the middle followed by a crisp bite and a surprisingly dry finish. Dark fruit flavors up front that quickly transition to, crisp, herbal hoppiness through the middle. Hop flavors give way to a definitive booziness to the end as this finished bone dry with a boozy aftertaste. Great look, aroma and feel. The booziness kind of overwhelmed the flavor a little to soon.

22oz bomber poured into a Neshaminy Creek pint glass. Had this on my birthday. Bottle number 505/600.

A: Pours a dark caramel color with a half-inch cream head. Beautiful lacing down the glass.

S: Caramel, malt, some vanilla, spices, dark fruits

T: Caramel, toffee, molasses, and some mild bitterness in the end. I can’t even taste the booze.

M: Medium, oily, a bit thick. Coats the mouth so well, leaving me wanting to take another sip because it tastes so good

Overall: At 10.8% ABV this is a very dangerous beer! I cannot wait to see how it turns out in a year after the aging process for CP 2.0! Neshaminy Creek has become one of my favorite breweries now. Rob the brewer is an awesome guy and they do some fantastic work. Love these guys. Check 'em out, folks. You won't be disappointed. That's a promise.
