L: Deep clear gold in color with a rocky whitish cap. Little lacing, but a touch
S: Pineapple is clear on the nose, a bit of wheaty must and sweetness
T: Pineapple is a little difficult to pull out for some. Sits on the middle of the tongue and it's light, but it is there. The hefeweizen base makes for better than many attempts I've tried lately. Mostly clove, light but present banana, and that hint of bubble gum.
F: Light and crisp with a gentle smoothness to it; a touch spritzy and almost a medium body

Can. Hazy light orange with a thin dense head
Smells of pineapple with spicy cloves and hints of banana.
Tastes similar. Somewhat rustic.
Light body. Sprightly carbonation.
Mmm? Rather strange.

Every now and then you just have to reach for some weird shit, and Evil Genius is in no short supply of said beers. Pineapple Hefeweizen? It doesn't sound like it'll work, but it'll be interesting nonetheless. I don't have much more to say so let's just crack it open and see what it's all about
Pours a mostly clear pale gold with 3 fingers of rocky white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves no lacing
The pineapple makes this one feel oddly musty, at least in the nose. I'm picking up on aromas of overripe banana, clove, perfumey pineapple, and doughy malt
Taste wise, it turns from weird to not very good, really bringing out a stale character. I'm starting to think this one was a mistake. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting tart pineapple, wet hay, banana, crackery malt, and a touch of orange. The swallow brings notes of stale malt, musty pineapple, white pepper, wet hay, and doughy malt
A medium light body pairs with moderate tingling carbonation, resulting in a beer that hits a sharp peak on the swallow then thickens up. Finishes off dry with a weird sweetness
This one was all over the place but I can't really say that it was bad. Super weird and probably worth skipping, but oh well

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a Captain Lawrence muffin top pint glass; canned 04/13/21.
A: Pours a hazy, golden color with a one to two finger, white head, more modest retention, but solid rings of lacing.
S: Subtly acrid with a barnyard aroma, at first, giving way to banana and cloves as it warmed.
T: Semisweet. Flavors almost entirely banana and cloves with a touch of fruit which I would have characterized as lemon, but presume is actually pineapple. Light bitterness present leading to the very clean finish.
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
O: A nice, light but full flavored, Hefeweizen. No pineapple really in evidence, but solidly drinkable and enjoyable.

12 ounce can poured into a tulip glass. Canned 04/13/21.
L---Hazy, medium gold color. Puffy white head faded fairly quickly and left very nice lacing.
S---Smells like a proper Hefe (banana, wheat) with a touch of pineapple.
T---Banana, clove, wheat and some backing pineapple.
F---Medium/light bodied with good carbonation.
O---It's a proper Hefe with some pineapple in the background. I like it more than everyone else, I guess.

Pours a large fizzy 2 finger head that fades semi quickly, low retention, very hazy cloudy orange-golden wheat straw color
Nose brings lots of doughy yeasty hefe out front, creamy doughy wheat, a bit of baking bread and yeast, then tropical kicks in, it brings lots of pineapple and an almost Brett C like funk, generic fruity esters mixed in, with some light phenol spices, a little candy sweetness and touch of banana
Taste brings tartness with some citrus, lemony like, with a bit of acidity, then pineapple, tart pineapple and again hints at like Brett C character, a little yeasty with more bread, doughy wheat, some citrus acid, pineapple rind, more fruity esters with citrus and a touch of banana, actually more banana as it warms, hint of phenol spices, dry, very dry finish with more acid notes and tropical fruit mixed with banana
Mouth is med bod, carbonation is strange, at first is seems like almost none, then a lot comes out and gets tingly, a bit of acidity
Overall interesting beer, not a huge hefe profile as it almost seems like they found Brett C and then decided to add pineapple to mask it, pineapple doesn't come off too strong either but the acidity really goes up which is not something I want in a soft creamy hefe

As advertised, but pineapple doesn't necessarily mesh well with a hefeweizen. It was a well made beer but tropical fruit just doesn't jibe with bananas and clove for me

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a bright golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is full of bananas, some pineapple. Taste is banana up front, pineapple in the background. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a refreshing and solid beer.

Orangish yellown in color with a hazy hazy. Poured with a moderate off-white foam with low retention. Light wheat, sweet bubble gum and sweet pineapple syrup aromas. Medium bodied with effervescent, high carbonation. Wheat malt and fruity, sweet pineapple flavors with bubble gum and sweet banana. Acidic, assertive carbonation through the middle followed by sweet banana and bubble gum. Finished with lingering sweetness and light wheat malt flavors that slowly fade. Decent esters that are balanced by assertive, lighly acidic carbonation. Pineapple character comes across as artificial and syrupy, but adds a bit of character nonetheless. Pretty easy drinking and flavorful.
