Another stellar east coast IPA. Nice astringent, resinous hops in both flavor and aroma. Slightly hazy medium golden body. Small creamy off white head. Sticky bitter finish.

Although there are worse offenders, the pours that emptied two twelve ounce cans into a clear glass liter mug produced an excess of stark white foam. It reduced quickly and evenly, leaving very little lacing. The beer is bright amber with just a little cloudiness. It's not pungent, but some Citra hopping and malt can be detected. That it feels as rich as it does is a pleasant surprise, considering the foam and virtually no glass lacing. There's a little extra sweetness to taste up front, but it's not a detriment. The finish is bittering and clean, a nice transition. Just as the aroma isn't pungent, neither are the tastes of malt and Citra hops pronounced. They are very well balanced and both contribute to a very pleasant drinking brew. Also, it tastes like there's less than a 7.5% ABV to it. Overall, this is a delightful find and one that can go with most foods, or to just have a few unaccompanied.

Light orange. A little haze. Thick firm white head that holds for a bit.

Nice sweet malts and grapefruit from the hops. Smells nice and simple. Kind of an old school AIPA.

Taste is nice. Some nice caramelized malts. Hops are front and center. A bit of grassiness or grittiness from the dry hopping. Medium bitterness.

A very good IPA but would like a big beer like this to have a bit more bitterness to balance it out.

2022265 stamped on bottom of can (Aug 16). Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.

A: Hazy light amber with copious frothy 2-finger off-white head with good retention and solid lacing.

S: Aroma is light-medium intensity with tangerine, orange, and white pepper (alcohol?) and light-medium caramel malt sweetness.

T: Flavor is somewhat muddled with too heavy on the caramel malt flavor. Hoppiness is medium intensity with tangerine, orange, and orange marmalade, all mainly on the back end after the initial wave of medium caramel maltiness. Bitterness is medium and alcohol character is there. Clean without significant esters.

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation and dry finish.

O: Solid but needs to lose some of the caramel malt character as it mutes the hoppy qualities.

Pours a cloudy orange color with finger high white head that dissipates quickly leaving slight lacing. Aroma is citrusy with bread and malt overtones, not terribly complex. Mild flavor and bitterness throughout with hints of a malty biscuit backbone. Feel is a smooth medium bodied brew that's quite drinkable while not being overstated in any one area. Overall a good ale that I've revisited multiple times.
