Bottle: Poured a hazy light pale yellow color ale with a large foamy head with excellent retention and some great lacing. Aroma of light dry funky notes with some light rustic malt notes is quite enjoyable. Taste is a great complex mix of funky notes with subtle tart notes, with grassy notes and rustic malt with nice lightly peppery yeast notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Love the complexity that can be found in this beer while also maintaining a great level of drinkability.

Enjoying with thanks to Phyl21ca!
A refreshing and very drinkable beer, with a pleasant and by no means overwhelming level of funk plus a nice citrus bitterness in the finish. Pours a light and hazy yellow with a limited white head that disappears quickly. Aroma has enough barnyard to qualify but is well complemented with yeast and spice elements. Glad to have tried and would definitely recommend.

This is an excellent beer. Nose and palate are full of funk, bright citrus and a bready malt backbone. Slightly tart and very dry in the finish. Extremely drinkable.

Pours a hazy straw color with a slight orange hue with one finger of chalk white head with decent retention and a few (minimal) spots of lacing. The nose comes through bright, slightly sweet, citrus (oranges) and some nice tartness (lemons), whiffs of yeast and bread dough. The taste is more sour than funky, lots of tart lemonade with notes of spice/white pepper and some mild funk. On the palate it is light and refreshing; slightly puckering at first. Overall, a tasty saison with some added complexing from or little microbe friends.

I am by no means an expert on (nor necessarily a huge fan of) sour beers. But I do love wild/brett saisons This is a saison infected with lactobacillus and finished off with a saison yeast. It is dry hopped with New Zealand hops. Mine had no date and looked nice enough out of the bottle.

The aroma is slightly funky and slightly tart and not much else. The taste is similar. There is a nice bright citrus tartness with some dusty bitterness from the yeast and a rising bruised, herbal hop in the finish. The palate is very nice with millions of tiny static-like bubbles the vaguest pucker and a dry finish.

I am not and expert on reviewing sours so take it with a grain of salt. It is good. I think it would be better a little saison-ier or a touch less sour, but that's just me. I would have it again; though otherwise I would get other beers from these guys.
