500ml bottle - mmmmmm, more Brett and cherry, um, goodness.

This beer pours a hazy, bright medium salmon amber colour, with three fingers of puffy, very loosely foamy, and rather fizzy off-white head, which leaves very little in the way of lace around the glass as it quickly blows off.

It smells of tart lemon and bing cherry acidity, gritty pale malt, some tame caramel sweetness, a softly spicy rye graininess, gentle funky Brett notes, further musty yeast, and some plain leafy, weedy, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is more bready and grainy caramel malt, a lesser rye astringency, muddled black orchard fruity notes (ok, some dark cherry and raisins), brown sugar, pleasantly sedate sour and funky Brett essences, and some further unheralded leafy and herbal hoppiness.

The carbonation is quite active in its probing and gnashing frothiness, the body a solid middleweight, and sort of smooth, as the guest beasties here don't really feel it necessary to interfere, as such. It finishes off-dry, the muted cherry and base maltiness carrying the lingering load.

Overall, this is not a bad farmhouse brew, with the guest bacteria not outshining the guest fruit, but rather working alongside it to provide a sense of ethereal balance. Easy enough to drink (without unexpected outside, er, distractions), and a decent example of the style - worthy of a go.

Bottle: Poured a light reddish color ale with a medium size foamy head with limited retention and some carbonation. Aroma of Brett notes with light tart cherry is enticing. Taste is a mix of Brett notes with tart cherry with little residuals sugar notes. Body is full with medium to low carbonation level. Not the best beer I’ve had from this brewery with some lack of attenuation and cohesion between the flavours.

Orange/red in color with a thin white head.

Really nice cherry aroma, lots of tartness in the nose too.

Nice flavor, lots of cherries again. I expected it to be a little more sour. It still is a little bit sour but not as much as I'd wish.

Not bad overall but had higher expectations.
