Located close to via argentina, a street full of restaurants and night life, good atmosphere, it has four home brewing brands (Chiriqui, Cocle, Veraguas and Azuero), reasonable price, and most of the week shows nice offers like 2x1; is also one of the first pubs that started the homebrewing fever in Panama City, delightful beers and good equipment.

I was staying at the Westin in Playa Bonita and was in dire need of a descent beer. La Rana Dorada delivered. With four beers on taps, one of which was a newly released IPA I was thrilled to find flavourful beers in Panama City.
The place is nice and quiet, the waitress mostly spoke spanish but the brewer was very helpful. He helped us order and gave us a tour of the brewery.
The food was good but limited in choice. My wife and I each had a pizza but we could have easily shared one.
A nice aspect of this place is that they sell growlers. I took one back to the all inclusive hotel so that I could have some descent beer on the beach.
The beers on tap were pretty typical but well done. One American wheat beer, one blonde, one Pilsner and one IPA all with an alcohol content of around 5 and probably all fermented with the same yeast strain.
If you're in Panama City and love beer, this might be the only place that can save your soul.
