First time visit. Did a little research online before taking the 1+ hour drive. Upon entering, the place was brightly lit (not too bright though), very organized, very neat. Bar in the rear was where my beer finding assistant was waiting (thank you!). I was able to find 12-14 beers that are not available in Delaware, and I hadn't seen anywhere else in the PA stores. I docked the selection a hit because the website is not up-to-date. Otherwise, the place was a great find. I especially want to thank "S" for helping us out.

What impresses me about this place is the friendliness of the staff and how clean everything is. It's a bit pricey but it's well stocked. The selection is mainly domestic with a few Belgian and German offerings.

I stopped in briefly while passing through the area. They have a good amount of beer which is immaculately displayed. Much of it it is refrigerated as well. There's also a bar in the back but unfortunately I had a long drive ahead of me. As much as they had, I didn't find anything I was overly excited about but I did pick up a RR Damnation and an IPA from Laurelwood. I'll definitely check them out again if I find myself in the area.

One of the best bottle shops in the western Philadelphia suburbs. The selection is great. And they get any "whale" that is distributed in SEPA. Better get there quick, though: beers like Parabola, Hopslam, KBS, BCBS, Black Note, etc. sell out within minutes, not hours or days. The staff is awesome. Some of them are still learning and some of them are master-class, but they are all enthusiastic about craft beer. Prices are a little "pricey" but not inconsistent with what you will find in the area. Their hot dogs are fantastic. Occasionally, they will have an amazing beer they need to clear and put in on sale for retail $. I would tell you about a couple of gems that I have bought under such circumstances, but then I'd have to kill you...

This is a typical deli/bar/store that you would find in the PA state. It's attraction strangely might be its near neighbor about a block away the Tired Hands Brewing establishment which makes for a logical stop.

Therr is a pretty solid selection here with prices edging towards the high side a bit it seems. The area seems to be filled with large old homes and there is a sense the pricing reflects the neighborhood.

Staff is nice and willing to help. Asked about a few products and they had no problem answering them without any confusion.

If you are visiting Tired Hands (which is really the only key beer reason you would be down here in the first place), this place is a logical next step. I also liked that on yhe counter they had a sample of beers that were listed as "what is new this week". I wish more stores did this.

One tip, cut through the church and the parking lot to save yourself time on your walk if you are parked near the brewery. Theres a path that goes around which isnt invasive and it will save you walking around a large block of traffic.

Being from Pittsburgh I was hoping to find a bottle shop that had a bunch of stuff that we can't get on the west side of the state. This place has a very large selection, but I didn't see too much that was terribly exciting. I'll allow that my expectations may have been too high. They have a really solid range of stuff. The service was good. I had 2 different people ask if I needed assistance within the first 2 minutes I was there.

I've been in 7 or 8 times now. The store is clean, we'll lit, and organized.
At least one employee has offered assistance every time I've been there. I haven't needed help myself but I have seen them assisting other customers and they do an exceptional job. Many of the patrons here are not "beer geeks" and the staff take the time to ask questions and make really good recommendations. You won't get that at the grocery store.
Selection is vast. Maybe they don't have many hard-to-find beers, but what they have is almost all really good beer. I've been told and later have seen that they will bring in beers based on customer requests. Draught beers are rotated often and I've had a few here that I know I would never find in my local bars or restaurants. They also sell and fill growlers. I haven't eaten here.
Overall I think The Beer Shoppe in Ardmore is a great store. They may not have all the very latest or the "Holy Grail" beers but it's really hard to make a bad choice here. Maybe you can get some of these beers for less elsewhere but for convenience, selection, and great advice I highly recommend this store.

The Bottle Shoppe had its good and bad points; I was in the area looking for a bottle "shoppe" without going into the city and while the staff were wonderful, I feel like the selection/value could be improved. I understand rent's expensive in that part of town, but a bigger focus on harder to find brews might help justify the expense.

I left with the Stone Dayman coffee IPA, Ithaca FlowerPower, and a black saison which looked interesting. Again overall I liked the shop but a lot of the selection can be found elsewhere for cheaper. Again staff was super friendly, the shop has a cool vibe and with an expanded selection I could see this becoming a destination spot.

Right within walking distance of Tired Hands...just cross the street and cut right through the parking lot, and you're there. Or here, depending on which way you're going. This place is in a pretty bustling and cramped strip mall, so you might be better off parking elsewhere anyway.

You pretty much walk through a corridor of beer here, with a wall of singles and 6-packs to your right, and a wall of refrigerated choices to your left. Selection is pretty big and well-varied, even if there's nothing too extraordinary in the eyes of an uber beer geek. They might keep special/rare selections hidden away when they're released, but I never really bothered to check. Prices are about on par for your typical shop in the area. Service is very good. Whether you need help or not, I've always had an employee pop up next to me while I'm browsing to ask if I need any help or recommendations. A plus for those just getting into the beer scene, or just looking for something new.

Towards the back, there is a small bar area where you can enjoy one or more of about 5 or 6 draught selections, and have a bite to eat. Pretty nice feature. It's not the kind of place I'd spend an evening with the wife, but it's a nice casual hangout.

This isn't one of my regular spots, but it's definitely worth popping in once in a while, and definitely worth checking out, considering the antiquated PA case law has no bearing here. It's a good gap-bridger between Pin's and Capone's, and once again, considering it's proximity to Tired Hands, you can't really go wrong.

Stopped in here earlier this week before going to Tired Hands.

Surprisingly big for its location. Small retail area in the front, large row of coolers on the left and tons of loose bottles and warm six packs on the right. A small bar area located in the back is packed with people having a beer and getting growlers filled. A nice inviting atmosphere to have a beer or just pick up some to go.

Quality seemed to be pretty good. Service was good, I was asked if I needed help twice in my short time in the store. Prices seemed to be up and down. Most where priced right where they should be but $25+ for a 750ml of Tilquin is crazy, especially when I had just seen it for $18 at a different shop not two hours before. Prices aside the selection was pretty good. They had some RR, Belgians, and all the other usual suspects you would expect from a philly area bottle shop.

Overall a pretty nice bottle shop. I will probably stop in again when I am going to Tired Hands, it is only a block away after all.

A nice new bottle shop that fills a bit of a void locally. Good selection but nothing too outstanding for the area; has the same broad distribution that the Philly metro area enjoys, which is great. Also has the same very high prices. Many bottles on the shelves here are available elsewhere at a dollar or two less.

I found the staff to be friendly but not particularly well-informed when I had specific questions (which versions of 50/50 Eclipse were sitting on the counter? They couldn't say). Also had a fresh batch of Peruvian Morning but weren't aware of the previous recall. Bought one and fortunately it was not from the infected batch.

Lots and lots of coolers, mix and match 6ers and singles, bombers and 750s, also much of the same stuff on shelves opposite. In the back is a little bar with growler fills, although I believe they only had 4 beers on when I visited and nothing was a must-have.

Clearly a nice shop but I wouldn't go out of my way to stop here. If I were local I'd probably come by a bit more often but again, prices were on the steep side. Wound with a bottle of Lavery's Saison, a beer and brewery I had never heard of before I saw them here. In any event, worth a stop over and look-see.

The previous review pretty much hit the nail on the head-- great location, excellent staff, great selection and very reasonable prices. I walked right in, asked for a few recommendations, and presto! Out I walked with two brews I'd never had before.

I didn't get to check out the gourmet hot dogs or anything on tap, but it looks nice and I'm sure I will return. Oh, they sell a selection of cigars, as well, if you're into that kinda thing.

There's really nowhere close that has the selection this place does. You could go to Wegman's in King of Prussia and have about 1/5th of the selection for about the same price. That doesn't even take into account driving down Rt. 30 or I76.

I have been waiting for a place like the Beer Shoppe to open around here for years. What better then a place that has close to 1000 different beers to choose from and gourmet hot dogs to boot. The staff is very friendly and experienced, and spent the time with me to point out where my favorite brews were. They have mix and match 6 packs along with single bottles that are right in line with every other similar beer mart. They also have domestics as well. I was amazed by the atmosphere and how easy the shopping experience was. The fact that it is right down the street from the Wine & Spirits store is very convenient as well. I will 100% be going back to this place as well as recommending it to all my family and friends. This place is a must go!
