Never really thought of this place as a bar, it's more of a glorified modern cafeteria/student center great room at the newish modern Union South. I've been in here a couple times over Great Taste weekend. If you're a UW student, it's a good place to grab a beer with lunch or dinner after a class I guess, or for traveling alumni staying here at the Union.
Inside it's spacious with high ceilings lots of table seating and a stage, with a second floor balcony. When you walk in through the Union, past a climbing wall, there's a cafeteria food service area to the right, complete with the trays and a track to slide them along.
There is a good selection of beers on tap and a few in the bottle, served by food service staff, no bartenders or specialized knowledge. O'so, Founders Reds Rye, Three Floyds Alpha King, Walters Pilsner, mainly midwest regional staples, but supposedly they've gotten in a few more limited beers recently (this wasn't the case in summer 2011-12). If you've been to the Rathskeller at the Memorial Union it's about the same here beer-wise but with zero atmosphere.

While the college atmosphere may be a little off-putting to non-students, the beer selection and food make up for it. The burgers are freshly cooked, and there are a lot of beers to choose from. Also, the craft beers are definitely worth checking out. It's a really small selection, but The Sett has been able to get some beers that I haven't even heard of. Goose Island Bourbon Stout and the 3 Floyd's Zombie Dust have both made an appearance.
I am not a sports fan, but even for me it is fun to watch football on the giant screen, and there is an upstairs for people who just want to relax and talk with friends.
