Born and brewed in the heart of Rockville, VA, this Irish Red Ale is a beautiful blend of caramel malts and earthy hops. Sessionable at 5.5% ABV, and full of flavor to complement an array of cuisine. Caramel notes and a roasty finish make this well balanced beer a friend to burgers, barbeque and dessert!

Draught pour into a Tulip pint glass.
L: Gorgeous clear ruby brown, 1 finger thick creamy head , foam is slightly ruddy off-white, good retention, leaves tiny bits of lace.
S: Moderate strength nose, bread and caramel malt, nutty notes, hints of fruit-like British ale yeast.
T: Tastes "English" and malt forward, medium sweet nutty and caramel malt, mild herbal and earthy hops, mild bitterness.
F: Opens crisp and eases to a smooth/soft medium body, finish hints at creaminess.
O: Really nice, could drink these all afternoon.

Pours a copper color with a thin head. Smells malty, tastes malty, but not too bitter. Doesn’t drink super heavy, with a crisp carbonated finish. Decent

Look-It pours a brown color with red hues like a cola.
Smell-It smells sweet and subtle with molasses.
Taste-It tastes of molasses, brown sugar, tea leaves, a slight astringency, and is well-balanced.
Overall-This is a nice ale, but nothing special.

Mild roasted aroma, pours a clear dark red with a large off-white head. Mildly sweet flavor, with a nice touch of roasted notes. Earthy hops finish off the beer. Medium body, and a solid red.

This was another beer that I picked up on my way home from the West Coast not too long ago and finally got around to tonight. While relatively typical for this style, this was bright and accessible enough to draw in someone who wasn't accustomed to drinking something like this.
Not a bad pour to this as the beer was a rich, mahogany in hue and had plenty of head to top it off. A good amount of caramel and nuts were in the nose as this was somewhat dark on the palate, in terms of the flavors. Nearly a full body as there was enough toffee with Caramel and Biscuit Malt as well in the mix. A cloying mouthfeel and roasted aftertaste ensured that this would be a typical Irish Red without having anything in particular that stood out to me.
Of course, there was the right amount of alcohol as it would have been possible to down another bottle after one sitting. Not much lacing and the lightness of the roasted mouthfeel kept this easygoing and once in a while, I'd reach for something like this as a break from the heavier brews that I'm accustomed to.

On tap:
A little ruddy reddish brown, but nice and clear and supplying a decent rusty white head (scratched glass might help slightly).
A caramelly sweet note with a bit of candied cherry inside a dense raisin/date bread.
Taste is not quite as sweet as I expected, but hits the same basic components of the nose. A nice bitterness cuts into but does not overtake the malty strength of this beer.
Smooth, medium feel with the sugars trying to weigh it down but the ABV and carbonation lightening the burden.
Surprised a bit by this one. Not a style I deal with too often, but the malty nature worked for me today. Could see tiring after three or so, but a like minded person and I could probably kill a sixer without too much thought.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear red amber with a large off-white colored head. The aroma is mild hops. Has a great mild ale flavor that is very enjoyable. the cap is solid black.
