On tap, served in a Shaker pint glass.
Appearance: Very dark brown with some ruby red highlights. Lt. Tan head. Plenty of persistent lacing.
Smell: Pine, grapefruit citrus, some tropical fruit, hint of toasted grains.
Taste: Piney hops up front. Moves into a nice biscuity malt middle; a little sweet. Some toasted oats as well. Strong citrus finish.
Mouthfeel: Nicely thick, approaching creamy. Just right carbonation. Some hop oils sticking to the teeth.
Overall/Drinkability: Tasty beer. Lots of flavor, nicely balanced flavor while still being very hoppy. Dangerously drinkable. I could easily have another.
