Village pours a golden color, with a very small head. Earthy aroma. Flavor is on the earthy side, with a hint of sweetness at the end. Good body and feel. Overall, not bad, on the earthy side.

3d Review, 1st from Brewer which I will now go visit after work. Wil then try them all.
Overall - this is more of an APA like Dales (a personal fave) than an IPA. in looks too.
a) Copper body throws up decent off white head and tons of dotty lace.
s) More malt than hops. It's a hoppy APA.
t) Follows with nice prickly sweet see-saw combination of a great APA.
f) thinner than Dales, but a decent pub gruel or pizza beer.
o) Taste vs APAs not IPAs.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a Speiglau IPA glass.

Look is a clear ruby with a slightly offwhite head.

Aroma is sweet molasses malt with a tinge of herbal hop bittnerness.

Taste matches aroma. Lots of herbal hop bitterness.

Much better than expected.

Appearance: hazy orange in color with a 2" head. Nice lace develops.

Smell: little fruit sweetness comes through.

Taste: caramel, bread, ripe fruit sweetness, and a mild bitterness.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Crisp throughout.

Overall: a mediocre IPA and with all the hops used it did not impart the flavors expected.

On tap. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of this one. Very malty and lacking in hop character. Old school. I enjoy old school IPAs too, but this one didn't hit home for me. Mild, sweet, and a bit of a bore. Sorry.
