This New England does not disappoint! Initial pour is a little milky and hazy, but settles with nice head. The smell is fruity and sweet. The taste is exactly what I’d expect, not to dry but moderately carbonated. Refreshing and filling, with strength at 9%. A great warm weather beer!

Moderately sweet hazy with a melon sweetness to combine with hints of strawberry backed by a straw and pith bitterness. Quite soft but could be a little more dry to go with the modest bitter finish and linger for my tastes.

A: The beer is very hazy dark yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left lots of lacing down the sides of the glass and lots of specks of bubbles covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of grapefruit citrus and mangos are present in the nose. Tangerine also becomes noticeable as the beer begins to warm up.
T: The taste follows the smell and is somewhat dank with additional notes of tangerines. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found the dank flavors in this beer to be unique for a New England-style IPA.

Love this DIPA from Wilmington Brewing! An excellent southern NEIPA that look forward to each time I visit Wilmington or have a visitor from there. Hazy, tropical fruit - think pineapple and mango with a nice medium and balanced body. Sweet but not too sweet. 7.8% Delish!

Appearance: Pours a hazy amber color with a one finger head of foam; decent stickage and a shard or two of lace

Smell: Tropical and citrus tones of guava, mango, pineapple and Clementine orange

Taste: Pineapple forward, with guava and mango tones building; through the middle, the sweet citrus of Clementine orange builds the bitterness level; moderately bitter but truly rather juicy in the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: Truly delicious, with a range of tropical and citrus tones

Can stamped 02.23.18

Clouded dull orange hue with minimal soapy foam sticking to the surface. I can smell the hops during the pour...fragrant tropical fruit juice, mango, orange, and some dank oily resins. Flavor is a juicy, somewhat sticky hop blast of mango, pineapple, and grapefruit. Body is a little more than medium and fairly frothy. A nice bold juicy DIPA that drinks pretty easy without being too heavy or sweet. One of the best I've had from these guys.

Hazy and orange with a thick, sticky off white head. Smells dank with tons of citrus and pine. Sweet up front with a nice pine and pith bitterness. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel and decent carbonation. This is a great version of a NEIPA.

A: Pours a moderately hazy medium golden honey in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate golden yellow + burnt orange colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense foamy off-white head that reduces to a large patch of medium thick film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of juicy tropical/mango, citrus/orange, citrus/grapefruit, tropical/guava, and a hint of dank hops over the top of just shy of moderate aromas of biscuit + caramel malts with a moderate amount of sweetness.

T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of biscuit + caramel malts with a moderate amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of juicy tropical/mango, citrus/orange, citrus/grapefruit, tropical/guava, and a hint of dank hops which contribute a very light amount of bitterness which fades away almost instantly leaving a lingering juicy hop flavor.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth, almost creamy with a hint of dryness in the finish. Light amounts of alcohol warming.

O: Extremely easy to drink and extremely enjoyable with great hop flavors and aromas over a solid slightly sweet malty body. Very nice combination of tropical and citrus flavors. An extremely enjoyable NE IPA coming from the beach - looking forward to visiting this brewery on my next swing out that way.
