Stopped at this brewpub during my reunion at Allegheny recently. I wish there was a place like this when I was an undergrad.
Location looks like a ski lodge and is located in a commercial area with a movie theater nearby.
Walking up to the front, there is a dining area to the right and a drinking area to the left. We went the liquid route.
Brewing tanks etc are visible beneath the floor through some glass panes. There is a long bar and several chair and table setups in the bar area.
The bartender is very friendly and many in our group order flights of all the draft beers. There is a session IPA, Belgian Wit, porter, DIPA, blonde ale, imperial Brown (bottles only), and an export lager. I ordered the Imperial brown and found it to be a hearty beer that hid its alcohol but definitely packed a bit of a punch.
We didnt eat any food this visit, but would definitely stop by again. 6packs are $13 regardless of what bottles you put in and the flights and pints were very reasonably priced as well. Again, would have been awesome to hang out here while at Allegheny. Definitely worth a stop if in the area.

One of the closer brewpubs to where I live. They always have 7-8 beers on tap...which are decent but nothing crazy. I like the ipa and usually the rotating Belgian. Food and service have always been excellent. Great place for a meal and a good beer with folks.

Stopped in over the weekend while checking out some breweries/brewpubs in the Meadville area.

V - Like you're hanging out in a ski lodge. This place looks like some kind of lodge, hunting or skiing your choice. There are two buildings, one with a large dinning area and bar, then a second small building that is more bar than anything. A small area with outdoor seating and a fire pit separates the two. We sat in the larger dinning area.

Q - Full menu and plenty of taps. We ordered appetizers and beer samplers.

Ser - Great/ The bartender and our waitress were very helpful. Our waitress even went the extra mile for us. When the coffee stout was not part of the beer sampler, without asking she brought it for us separate because she over heard we wanted it.

Sel. - 8 beer options, brewed in house. Five regular (Blonde, Dortmunder, IPA, Belgian Triple, and Porter) plus three rotating drafts. All were delicious but the Morning Brew Coffee Stout, Fully Loaded IPA and Black Bear Porter stood out.

F - We only had some appetizers so I can't speak for the entire menu but the pretzels and lobster nachos were great.

O - Laid back place with good beer. Come for the relaxing ambiance, enjoy the food and beer.

Timber Creek as been open for almost a year now and it's improved significantly. At first the food at the restaurant was lacking. The service was spotty and kinks needed to be worked out. Well, after being open for the first few months, they were working things out and each time we went they seem to be getting better. The new menu is fantastic and the beer battered stuff is awesome! Tthe food is definitely improving each time we go back. The beers are the same way. Each one improving more so then the last. I really find myself going back and enjoying the Fresh Squeezed IPA and Black Bear more than I did from the beginning. They are always releasing something new and it is usually pretty decent. They have also starting bottling beers too.

The building itself is really cool and the Tap Room is quite awesome. The tap room has a see through floor that let's you see down into the brew house.

The outdoor open air patio, in between both buildings, is equipped with chairs to sit and wait for your table and enjoy a beer or listen to live music that they sometimes have.

Pretty cool place to go and enjoy a beer and get some tasty dinner. Ask for Anthony to cook your food (if they even take those requests!) Good stuff!

There is something formulaic about this spot that comes off in a manner that doesn't turn me off at all. The food and drink menus seem quite corporate in their design and execution. But, the content really shows that it's not your typical boring corporate experience.

They sell bombers of numerous beers, which I thought was great! And their label designs are on point and nowhere near generic or drab. It follows suit with the overall drive of the place.

Layout is open and larger than you might expect. They are aiming for volume here, which I think is perfectly appropriate from a business standpoint. In that they haven't sold-out with some bland formula speaks volumes. Lots of wood all around and dark tones and paint. Huge mirror on the back of the bar.

This is a nice place. I would tell anyone who wants to open a brewpub that this is a model that at the least should be analyzed. And if copied, I would anticipate success on a level anyone would desire to see. I would be happy to return at some point.

Having grown up in nearby Conneaut Lake, I unfortunately grew accustomed to less than stellar food and drink options in the region. Living in Chicago now has only underscored this fact. I was therefore quite thrilled with my recent lunch experience at Timber Creek. First impressions revealed an open, lodge atmosphere with separation between dining (table) and bar (tap). Food seemed far beyond the standard fare of the area. I had two beers: the Oktoberfest and freshly-squeezed IPA. At this point in the fest season I had tasted many Marzen-style brews, both from the Motherland and our own shores. This was surprisingly amongst the top. The IPA was loaded with juicy hops, but with a proper malt balance. I could drink this nectar all day. I was also privy to a view of the subterranean brewing facilities beneath the taproom via glass floors! Cool stuff. Way to start a pedigree, guys.
