Flagship store for Orange County, so if any store were to get any releases, best chance is checking here first.

Walk-in fridge in the back fairly large and decent selection, with local beers popping up occasionally.

Great selection of craft beer and other stuff I walked right by. The cooler in back has a select group of high end brews that are worth looking through.
I was third in line last year on Black Friday with my favorite son in law and we each were able to buy a great Bourbon County six and some singles. And even in that carnival atmosphere the entire staff seemed happy to be there and were willing to answer all of our beer questions
I'll be back.

This place rules. I know it's kinda the Walmart of places to buy beer, but they have the best selection and even have free beer guides. They also have tastings and classes on beer. Most importantly, they have an incredible selection and allow you to buy singles. I love that. I hate buying a whole six pack only to find that I hate the first one. I have discovered more beers as a result an feel like I am becoming a much more educated beer drinker. Not sure if that sounds funny but it's true. The prices are the best. And did I mention the selection?

When I'm in the mood to try new beers or breweries, I tend to gravitate towards Total Wine. As many of you know, they sell singles! I hate to buy 4/6 packs or even bombers when I don't know if I'm going to like a particular beer or not. So, if breweries have 12oz bottles, I'll mix and match them.

I think their selection is pretty diverse. My one pet peeve is that I prefer if they would organize beers by breweries rather than styles.

There's a walk-in cooler in the back, that is sometimes filled with goodies.

The prices are good. This Total Wine is very similar to the Brea store that I visit the most often.

Overall, this is a solid store.

My refrigerator needed to be restocked, and unfortunately I can't bring Beachwood BBQ's taplist. Second choice; Total Wine. Less than a mile south of the I-405, this Total Wine has the least intiminating exterior of the locations that I've been to. In other words, not nearly as massive on the outside, but inside is just as big as the others. Clean and shiny on the inside, well lit, however you could get lost in here.

Hundreds upon hundreds of beers available on the shelf, most which sit at room temperature, and a few fridges filled with cold brews. Some of the brands I haven't seen everywhere else in Orange County besides Total Wine, which gives it an edge. You can expect to find Dogfish Head, Goose Island, Coronado, Devil's Canyon, Flying Fish, Scuttlebutt, Bruton di Bruton, MOA, Martens, O'Hara's, Brewdog, Maui, Stone, Lost Abbey, and many more brands, domestic and import. The selection was impressive and displayed pricetags ($6.59 six-packs of Hoegaarden), though I did hope to find a few more pieces of glassware. I also found a few beers that I wanted to purchase which were a few weeks past their sell-by, otehrwise, for a large store, many of the beers are in fine shape.

Checkout at Total Wine is usually quick and friendly. I was treated to the latter, but not the former. I purchased a dozen individual bottles, usually no problem, but this visit the cashier had to individually punch numbers for each bottle. That caused checkout to drag on longer than it needed. Strange, because at other locations, there are alternate scanbars which are taped onto the original, scanning at the single bottle price.

I will be back the next time I'm nearby and need to restock.

Vast selection of beers, mostly stocked on warm shelves. Hundreds of cheesy lagers in a vast section of imports I just glanced at. Good range of California beers from some of the more interesting breweries, and lots more from the nationally-distributed craft producers. Not so many from the midwest, southeast, or other regions.

The place is the ultimate suburban megastore handy to the interstate. Reminds me of BevMo, only twice the size and even more pretentious. Clean and spiffy with vast aisles. Like BevMo there are some California breweries you have never heard of and will soon wish you hadn't tried their products. Some oddities and lesser-known beers among the vast array.

Prices seemed to be a little lower than most places. There were guys in suits wandering around, so maybe one of them would know about beer, if you cared to ask. The company claims to stock 2,500 beers in all of its 80 stores in 13 states. It's like one of those 10-page Chinese menus-- even if they have all that stuff, how long has it been around?

Finally a Total Wine in Huntington, I don't have to drive out to the boondocks of Tustin anymore. Just wish I didn't have to wait at that horrendous light at Beach and Heil everytime, but so be it.

Walking in this Total Wine is very similar to the one in Tustin, beer is to the far left. Very good selection of domestic crafts and imports, with a wide selection of singles. Best selection overall in the city. Just wish the good Euro lagers weren't in the light, put them on a lower shelf, to protect them with their green glass. An interesting aspect here is that a lot of beers are sold with 12 oz. right next to the bombers. Why I ask, who is going to buy a bomber in that circumstance, this is clear when Sculpin 12s are $2.29, and the 22 oz. is $7.99, so inevitably the 12s get sold out, and there's still tons of bombers. Seems like a lot of wasted beer. As with the Tustin location, the beers are sorted by style and not by brewery, which is very annoying, I can't go up to say Great Divide and look through all their beers at once, I have to go through the entire American craft selection. Don't know why they changed it around, it's a lot less user friendly. At least they have an area of seasonal and special release, makes it easier to find new beers that breweries have put out. I'm getting used to the new layout, but still don't like it.

Service is fine enough. I just wish they wouldn't ask me every 5 seconds (not literally, but you know what I mean) if I need help. If I have a question I will seek them out. Checkout is not a problem, though the lines can get long, a few more cashiers wouldn't hurt.

It looks like this section of Beach along the Huntington/Westminster border is started to get clogged with beer stores. Wish it was like this on the Westside where I reside. Prices here are much better than Whole Foods especially with singles, solidly better pricing than the BevMo, but the better selection and the ability to buy singles put it miles ahead of that store. With Liquor Warehouse the 2 best beer stores in city, and this place is considerably closer, ergo it will get a lot of my business in the future.
