A classic German-style Oktoberfest beer that goes down smooth with a pleasant, toasty malt flavor. 100% German malts create a supple and flavorful base for this traditional Oktoberfest lager. Our 2015 version is brewed with a hop called Hallertau Gold, grown on only one farm in the whole of Bavaria to deliver a hop profile which is at the same time both classic and unique.

12oz can

Revolution Brewing Oktoberfest poured a clear amber color with a nice white head that produced good lacing. The nose and taste are pretty much classic style Marzen/Oktoberfest, The Dark Lager drinks smooth and has a toasty malty aroma and flavor - It is only moderately hopped. The body is on the lighter side of medium with just the right amount of carbonation.
Overall, the Oktoberfest is a good American made Marzen. However, while it is smooth and easy to drink it is lacking a little in flavor strength.

12 oz can. Pours amber with tall, long-lasting, fluffy white head. Aroma is of grassy hops, bready and caramel malt. Body is medium and smooth. Grassy hops and caramel malt nicely balanced on the palate. Finish is long and dry. Nice brew.

Pours clear dark amber with a thick white head. Spotty lacing. Aroma is dark bread, caramel malt and a bit of yeast. Flavor follows the nose. Feel is on the light side of medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, a nice Oktoberfest.

Amber in color with a somewhat weak off-white head. Aroma is caramel and slightly bready. Taste is more on the caramel side with an undercurrent of brown sugar balanced by a bit on floral hops. Body is fairly light. As beer warms, becomes a bit too sweet but overall a solid Oktoberfest that's a bit on the light-bodied side, which is where I like them.

12 ounce can into a pilsner glass. Canned 8/24/23, had 10/30/23.

Pours a clear, darker golden color, with a one and a half inch head of spongy foam and light foamy lacing. Active carbonation. Aromas of caramel, malt, some bread, light yeast, light herbal hops. Has a fruity, white grape- like aroma. Flavors of malt, caramel, some bread and yeast, herbal and earthy hops. Tastes somewhat fruity. Smooth, a very good lighter medium body, well carbonated.

Not a style I frequent, but thought this was a pretty good effort for the style. Liked that the hops are a compliment, not the star, allowing the malt, caramel and bread notes to shine.

Canned on 7-13-23. Sam Adams pint.

A: pours a dark amber with one finger of white head that quickly recedes to some thin bubbles on top.

S: even fresh out of the fridge this is loaded with sweet maltiness. Tootsie pop sweetness, deep Munich malt with a slightly roasted cherry hint. Toasty, bready. Really smells sweet, bordering on a bock or a barleywine.

T: what you’d expect from a Marzen; off-sweet arrival. Depth of toastiness on the palate is higher than some Oktos I’ve had lately, even in the Marzen style. That toastiness is a good counterpoint to the sweetness. Sweeter as it warms. Finish is fairly dry, with a touch of lingering noble hop.

M: lower carbonation than some, but not too low. Fuller body, but still highly attenuated, crisp finish. Still, it would be hard to drink more than two of this.

O: a finely textured, moderately sweet, slightly darker take on the Marzen style. I’m actually quite surprised this is only 5.7% ABV, given the fuller texture and sweetness. A lot of flavor for that low ABV. Not one of my favorites, but we’ll-executed. I suppose I’m a harder grader on styles I like.

From a 12oz can dated 7-14-2023

Beautiful copper colored pour. Nice clarity to this beer. The head that formed was 1 finger and white. Somewhat fluffy looking. Overall decent retention. No lacing on the glass as the head dissipates to a ring around the edge of the glass.
The nose is super malty. There's just a ton of cereal and bread/biscuit on this aroma. Slight grain aroma.
Taste - This beer is a nice grain bomb. Lots of cereal in the flavor. The bread and biscuit is also a hint of caramel that also makes it into the flavor. Slight hint of hops on the backside.
The body is decent. I do get a bit of a bubbly feeling in this beer.
This is a very tasty beer of this style. I am happy with this beer.

12oz can. Stamp on bottom reads 'FILLED 07-14-2023'.
Clear, medium amber colored body. Weak dirty white head, which extends as a robust ring and a few islands. Lacing consists of a few tiny spots.
Aroma is malt heavy, with bits of fruit esters and caramel.
Taste is caramel malts, which are joined by floral, fruity, and spicy minority notes. Balanced bitterness at the end.
Thicker mouth feel. Clean finish. Supportive carbonation, certainly not over carbonated.
Tasty malts and very easy to drink. Fewer burps because of the lower intensity of the carbonation.

A really good, balanced, delicious Marzen (the old, hearty Octoberfest style), especially good considering that it's made outside Germany. (I tend to find American versions of European brews too hoppy. Not in this case.) Nice and malty, smooth with light carbonation. A beautiful golden brown in color. Love it.
