Following the success of April 2024’s Supermassive Café Mocha Deth, we thought we’d bring the band back together, but this time trading the full-stacks and pyrotechnics for acoustics. This “unplugged” rendition trades blinding intensity for nuance and approachability, while still keeping its “big dumb” credentials.

I had this on draft 10/18/24 @ the Yarchives. Black/brown appearance. Big tan head; strong, frothy lacing remained. STRONG dark roast coffee bean & rich dark chocolate notes in the nose. Creamy, medium thick mouthfeel. Rich dark roast coffee bean & milk chocolate flavors up front; mild cream & faint booze heat notes on the finish. I'm not the biggest coffee stout fan these days, but the incredible mouthfeel & relative depth elevated this. A rare variant that improves on the original.
