The Vanilla Bitch Slap....was just that....a slap in the nose and with vanilla. The taste was well balanced and not overpowered by vanilla. The beer poured a nice amber but did not have any head or lace. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with subtle carbonation. Overall it is definitely worth a try and I would like to try it from the tap once.

16oz draft poured into a pint glass looks like a cloudy orange/coppery/amber penny I sometimes leave on the ground. It does support a creamy looking 1/4in cap of tight bubbles that leaves effusive lacing.

Aroma is muted caramel.

Flavor is much more pronounced sweet caramel and the eponymous vanilla. Sweet.

Mouthfeel is creamy and leaning full with a sweet sticky remainder.

Overall, just too sweet. Might I recommend smoke? To cut that just a bit.

A guest tap at Granite City served in a pint glass.

Look- A clean amber color with a small amount of off white foam.

Smell- A wonderful vanilla aroma, but not much else.

Taste- Vanilla forward followed by malt sweetness. A bit of pine in the finish with some alcohol bite.

Feel- On the thin side with a slick feel.

Overall- Nice vanilla flavor, easy drinking, but too one dimensional in flavor to make it great.

Pours an amber color with a little white head. Smell is of vanilla beans. Has a malty vanilla taste too it. Mouthfeel is light and not to heavy. Overall, a refreshing beer.

Pours an amber to light brown with 1 finger of tan/off white head. Smell is malty amber ale. Not much vanilla on the nose. Mouthfeel is on the thin side but with good carbonation. Drinks smooth and easy but not much flavor. Kind of like a decent brown ale mixed with a malty amber ale. Not much hops or vanilla. Glad I got to try but would not seek out
