Quick review from notes, on tap at the brewery today.

Black body, tan mocha foam that settled slowly with good surface coverage.

Aromas of chocolate and vanilla marshmallows, fairly strong.

Taste was similar, alternating chocolate and vanilla notes, authentic as advertised.

Body was thin, but it was flavorful. Overall I'd try it again, maybe some oats would enhance the mouthfeel.

Served in a taster glass at Barrington Brew Fest 2013.

Starting things off here at the Fest with a brand new offering from the Vintner. It pours a straight obsidian topped by a half-finger of beige foam. The nose comprises chocolate syrup, vanilla bean, light roasted malts, and a hint of buttercream. Suffice it to say, it's rather sweet-smelling. The taste brings in more of the same, eliciting memories of a less-caramel-y version of Creme Brulee. It's quite sweet, lemme tell ya. The body is a straight medium, with a very light moderate carbonation and a fairly smooth feel. Overall, this was indeed a sweet treat, something that requires a love of sweetness to fully enjoy. Good start here.

3 ounce pour on tap at Midwest brewers fest.

Apearance- Pours black with a slight off white head that recedes at a moderate pace.

Smell- Some coconut and dark malts as well as milk chocolate. Good smell but not very pronounced.

Taste- Lots of coconut with a backing of milk chocolate and just a slight taste of espresso beans. Sweet but not cloying, almost no bitterness at all.

Mouthfeel- Very creamy, a bit on the light side for a stout but it fits well with the beer.

Overall- Very tasty beer. Almost like drinking coconut and chocolate milk. Definitely worth trying.
