Thin bodied stout that is very acrid, borderline sour. I question whether this is infected or not, but according to other reviews I see no one else shares this view so I'm assuming this is normal presentation. Really not a fan of this one.

A- Pours a dark brown with some nice lacing. Tan head.
S- Dark roasty malts with a little chocolate.
T- Roasty, but a little tart. Not sure if this is turning or not. But most likely is.
M- A little thin and high biting carbonation.
D- I think this one could use some work. Not great but not a drain pour either.

Pours an effervescent mahogany & 2 fingers of mocha colored head. Great lacing & above average head retention

S: Carob, dark fruit, & caramel once pretty warm

T: Carob, charred grain, & a touch of iron, up front, seems like there's a bit of mocha there as well. A touch of lactose as this warms, black currants, baker's chocolate & woody hops as this warms. Finishes dry with a little dark fruit, & a little mocha & a kiss of smokeyness

MF: Medium bodied, firm carbonation, smooths out nicely

ABV is well hidden, drinks easy, pretty good . Well worth a go...

Pours a black color. 1/3 inch head of a tan color. Good retention and great lacing. Smells of roasted malt, light coffee, sweet malt, chocolate, hint of alcohol, slight wood, and a hint of hops. Fits the style of an American Stout. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level and noticeable tartness. Tastes of sweet malt, roasted malt, tartness, hint of chocolate, hint of coffee, slight alcohol, and a hint of yeast. This is reminiscent of a Baltic Porter. Overall, good appearance, body, aroma, and blend.
