Barrel-Aged Hammered Satin - We've aged our silky, decadent, and drinkable double oatmeal stout for 6 months in a Buffalo Trace Whiskey barrels. In addition to big body, dark chocolate, and oatmeal cookies, the oak has contributed added flavors of coconut, cookie crisp cereal, and integrated wood.

Bottle.
A: Mild grain roast, coupled with a moderate coffee-like aroma and moderate bourbon notes on the finish.
A: Totally black color, opaque, with a thin light brown head that has decent retention. There is light lacing in the glass.
T: Solid mix of oats and deep roasted grains, there is a light sweetness and hop bitterness with moderate bourbon vanilla like character on the finish.
M: Medium bodied with moderately light carbonation. Very smooth (from the oats), but drinks a little thin for being such a big stout.
O: Very good; the beer is quite smooth and has a solid mix of deep roasted grains, complimented by the bourbon barrel’s presence. However, for being a double-oatmeal stout it drinks a bit thin.
