Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a burnt orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of spices, nutmeg stands out, mild pumpkin. Taste follows the aroma, easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is your standard issue pumpkin beer.

not a pumpkin beer fan, but i would go back to one for the obligatory Halloween quaff. Very drinkable, thin and not overpowering on pumpkin and spice. A moderate take on pumpkin, but a tame approach that works for me.

Bottle from my parents.
Poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a subtle burnt orange to amber color with a sly transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. Quickly fizzing little white head that barely left any lace.
The aroma had some pumpkin bready sweetness playing with some hazelnut, cinnamon and allspice. Light dark toast to caramel maltiness wrapped around the pumpkin sweetness fairly nice.
The flavor was moderately sweet through the pumpkin and bready notes. Spices kick further back in the overall taste. Mild aftertaste of pumpkin and dark toast, barely any spice.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied, slightly under with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt on par. ABV felt appropriate. Mild pumpkin sweet finish.
Overall, it's a good pumpkin ale. I say it does the trick.

DATE: October 15, 2017... OCCASION: finished celebrating Michael's ninth birthday... GLASSWARE: Brew at the Zoo pint... fizzes out the bottle, creating a tornado of bubbles that feeds a healthy finger's worth of white froth... head is steady and sponge-like in appearance... the body is orange amber and clear... cinnamon attacks the nostrils, with hazelnut, allspice, and toasted bread evoking the kind of milieu one associates with the season... first sip is light-bodied, reasonably active, with some sizzle at the throat--thin enough not to be confused as a dessertif... conversely, despite its 4.8% ABV, it holds its own as a stand-alone... cinnamon and allspice are the strongest flavors in the profile; the experience is pleasant, without being groundbreaking or demanding of future purchase... Susquehanna seems to be doing enough right, and this works along those lines... more pumpkin, bolder flavor could make this bigger, if not better...

This definitely has a little bit of a root beer/sarsaparilla flavor to it towards the end. Not my favorite pumpkin beer, but by no means bad, just might not get again.

12 ounce bottle and poured into a pint glass, no bottle date
A- Pours a clear amber color with a thin creamy and foamy off white head that retains long after the pour
S- aroma had a bit more pumpkin flesh aroma than most pumpkin ales, followed by the typical cinnamon, nutmeg & clove. Also some earthiness, with sweet malt undertones
T- slightly sweet and malty up front with notes of cola, spicing is a bit subdued, there's a nice cinnamon linger after the finish
M- medium body with locsrbonstipn leads to a thick and creamy mouthfeel that continues into the finish
O- his one has high drinkability because the spices are more of an afterthought, rather than dominating the beer
