Comes in a 21.4 fl.oz (63.3 cl) brown glass Bottle. Wharrttt?? After Billy BetaMax got sacked by the VideoTape company he decided to design completely useless sized bottles instead it appears.

Pours with a really thin “whispy” white head, has a broken ‘scummy’ appearance and a thin white rope, halo head, around the edges of the Glass.

Looks are of a beautiful golden lager, or is that reminiscent of a pool of warm urine? I get confused this late on a night.

Aromas are very clinical, almost like being stood in a hospital ward and inhaling the disinfectant cleansed ward floors. Also, has a ‘sickly’ biscuit grain smell that is not endearing whatsoever and unpleasantly reminds me of a night on the town.

Initial taste is clean, like that time I drank bleach when I was 4 years old.

Mouthfeel is poor. The complex Cardboard introduction gives way to a Paper pulp middle that teases you, is it multipurpose paper, or premium choice Laserjet paper? Hoprate is 20lb or the equivalent of 75gm/sq.m.

Wow, horrible beer that I imagine is only bettered by the colored paper offering.

Unimpressive, a beer that is, “ideal for printing or copying memos, e-mails, faxes, drafts and reports”.

Very Average, or is that “Velly Avellage”. LOL.

It won’t be on my shopping list again!!!

had this at a sushi house waiting for my order.

appearance: light yellow

smell: bitter, low hoppness

taste: not a fan, low flavor rice lager

mouthfeel: flavor, zeroness, blank

drinkability: not a fan, a blank beer with zero taste. I'd rather have bud light and thats bad.

Pours a pale yellow color, some carbonation, little fizzy white head, with not much sticky lacing left behind. The nose is grainy, ricy, skunky. The taste follows the nose, not much going on at all. Light Body, mostly water. A big dissapointment, would not recommend.

Very pale, clear, gold colour topped by a thin, bright white head. Heavy DMS aroma, with a lot of sweetness and a bit of lager sharpness. Musty hop smell. Sweet, grainy flavour with little hop bitterness. Musty hops are quite strong in the flavour. Very thin bodied to the point of being watery with medium/high carbonation. Quite astringent, dry finish. Drinkability was poor due to the fact that I couldn't finish the bottle.

355 mL brown bottle with the production date clearly stamped on the rear label.

the only beer left at shogun i had night tried, had this when i went out to dinner with my wife a couple weeks ago.

super light in every aspect i swear it poured out almost clear with no color at all. aroma is pure light rice and corn with just a hint of something stale or off in the back, but seriously soo light nothing was really noticeable. the taste was ore of the same, soo light i could not even tell it was there. gone in a flash i had this one down in no time.

overall just not even a beer to me, i not compliment dinner and was more just a waste of 3 bucks.

Pours a clear very pale golden straw color with a foamy white head that quickly dissipates into a thin lace. Nose is grain and rice with some faint sulfur notes. Taste is an overly processed grainy husk flavor and is a bit astringent. Very light in body. This is simply a bad beer. Several other reviewers mentioned that it goes well with certain foods, and that might be true, but I drank it by itself, and itÂ’s not good alone.

12 oz brown long neck bottle with an A&B “Bottled On” date on the back label. Brewed by Anheuser-Busch in the US. Problematic head retention but the clarity is fine and throws a pale yellowish hue.

A “too clean” aroma of faint grain and cereal addjunk(rice).

Astringent up the ying yang with a huge drying husk flavour, not a taste that you want at all. Hops are there but placid in flavour and bitterness is very processed.

Here is my Enlgish-Haiku review:

This beer brings me pain
The taste hurts from tongue to mind
Down the drain it goes

Another "World classic"! Line up for this one. A heavy pour and got a three-fingered head that faded quickly to a ring leaving some lace. Clear golden color. Light carbonation and light bodied. Starts with hints of hops and adjuncts, lingering bitter after-taste. On par with Budweiser. $1.60 for a 12oz bottle from Colonial Spirits, Acton, Ma.

looks exactly like a japanese rice lager. clear yellow, good fizzy head.
smell is almost nonexistent. ketchup packets and cigarette breath faint, but not terrible, smells like it looks.
tastes like you would expect, poor. kirin is trying hard to be the producer of the most different kinds of bad beer, they have many. yuck. aftertaste is bile.

Poured almost clear, a little yellow coloring, big head, withers away quickly. No aroma other than hydraulic fluid and metal.

Taste, more metal, and that's about it. Metal water. No hops, lots of carbonation. This stuff is $7 a 6 pack, are you kidding me? They charge less for water at concerts or sporting events. A decent beer with food I guess, if you don't want to have anything competing flavor wise with the food.

Had on tap at DOJO, NYC.

A: Straw yellow, with a surprisingly lingering head.

S: Very little smell, possibly malt, more like the smell of a freshly printed xerox copy paper.

T: Light malt flavor and it has an off astringent chlorinated water taste. Slight hop bitterness, but very fleeting. Dry finish.

M: Light body with little bitterness and no content.

O: This is a below average lager by any definition. Really has no character, and its awfully boring. I wouldnt recomend.

Appearance: Light straw yellow tone with a white fizzy head leaves minmial lacing, sorry looking lager. Aroma: Grainy corn and rice combo with some husky offness with a touch of hops should be clean and fresh smelling like a nice crisp lager should be. Taste: Grainy huskiness along with the corn and rice adjuncts not what I was looking for when dining Japanese, is drinkable but the flavors didn't work for me. Mouthfeel: Thin bodied fizzy carbonation doesn't satisfy me. Drinkability: Well, yeah I will probably never give this one another shot much rather settle for a Sapporo before this one.

A bottle of this with my sushi last night. I poured it into a pint glass with furious rigor. Still no head. Impressive. How can you make a beer with absolutly no head? Anyway, there was none. The colour was clear golden yellow with a little fizz.
If I was doing a blind taste test, I would have pegged this as one of those carb free beers. A lot like Sleeman Clear, actually. There was no aroma other than a mild adjunct smell. I figure it was rice.
The taste was equally unimpressive. There was nothing but a faint rice taste and was lacking in the hops department.
No more for me, please.

Can I just write the word "eh" and be done with this review?

It goes fine with sushi, because the flavor of sushi is pretty light compared to most of the highly salted and cheese-laden foods I eat, and this basically tastes like beer-flavored water.

Like, if KoolAid made a "Beer" flavor and your poured it into seltzer, this is what you would get.

There are no off nodes. Absolutely nothing unpleasant. But it's basically yellow water.

Pale clear yellow body, moderate carbonation, white head not much retention but decent lace.
Unfortunately the smell is the prototype is a cheap lager smell, very distinctive and not pleasant.
Taste watery and sour, the hops are there but they aren't right, somethings wrong in the bowels of this brew but hell if I know what it is. Bitter aftertaste but not in a good way.
Not much mouthfeel, very close to water. Not a repeat beer.

Pretty dull. Plain white head that bids, "Sayounara", early on. Nice lace with the first swallow, but then that's it. Yellow. Some bubbles.

Thin aroma and taste of fruit and hops. No particularly noteworthy characteristics, just factory beer. Simply unremarkable stuff without being actively disagreeable. Yawn.

Poured that yellow, urine color which always gives me a sense of foreboding. The head vanished without a trace in less than a second. I was impressed here. This one's got read Houdini head.

Tastes horribly astringent, with a slightly bitter finish. Much more flavor than your average mass-produced lager, which I value, even if it's an odd, tangy, mildly unpleasent flavor. Better than than no flavor at all. We're not talking about a vodka here.

In 2/3rds of the sushi bars I've ever been in, your beer choices are confined to this, and Sapporo. Drink the Sapporo. It's not great, but it's better than this.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle into bar glass.

A: Clear, very pale gold color. Thin white head.

S: Light grainy smell. Nothing much else.

T: Metallic tasting. Very watery. Not much flavor.

M: Thin, like water.

D: Easy to drink, however nothing that you would actually want to drink.

When the choice at the sushi place is Kirin or Sapporo, I'm choosing Sapporo. Or actually I think I'm choosing the iced tea. Iced tea and sushi really go great together and it tastes so much better than this.

Not a striking sight with a golden straw colour and foamy, white head. The smell is a turn off that is musty short of stinky/skunky. Taste too metallicy for a bottled brew, but has hoppy tones. Aftertaste lingers a bit much. The feel is pleasantly light and airy but a shade too biting. It drinks better than it looks or smells. Would be best suited for post-lawn mowing thirsts. I do not know about the sushi thing as I would prefer a better beer for such a meal. I would not trun my nose up to it, it is beer afterall.

This looked like it was going to be really good. Boy was I wrong! It smelled and tasted like a skunk! The beer was a nice golden color with a little bit of a white head to it. It had a nasty aftertaste of skunkiness. All in all, it's a bad brew, maybe I got a bad batch of it. Oh well, I'm defiantely not going to waste my time on this anymore.

My expectations was low on this one as I've seen earlier reviews on it, I just had to try it out of that cause. Could it really be that bad? Unfortunately it could, it is bad, even though I had ultra low expectations.

It pours clear yellow, like any lager. Poor, big bubbly head that you can hear crackle loudly like coco pops or what ever cereal... The head is gone after 60 secs. No lace.

No smell. Oh wait, there is some smell here...hmm...I think it smells...hmm..beer?

A bit sweet tasting, slightly slightly bitter, but not much really. The mouth feel is quite watery, no carbonation either.

This might be the palest beer I've seen yet; if not, it's pretty close. Some style (Kolsch comes to mind) are quite pale but have plenty of substance, but this just looks watery. It does have some color, a white-yellow hue. The head, clean and white, is never more than foam but does keep that. It also manages very light spotting.
Raw grains, almost harsh, an earthy must, some rice and a whiff of grass are all I get in the nose.
Some herbal leaf minerality under a bite of grains with an oddly astringent note hit the tongue. There's a little tanginess to it, though it's mildly sweet as well. It's extremely light, but it's so far from clean as to be harsh, and some corn husk isn't exactly vegetal but doesn't help the astringent aspect. If anything, there's a sort of almost sulfuric taste, something more noticeable than in the aroma.
The feel isn't as bad as the flavor would portend; it actually feels less harsh and grainy than it tastes, which is unusual. It dries out much too hard for a light-bodied beer, though, and despite a thin texture it's fairly bright. It certainly is crisp, at least.

Appearance: pours a golden yellow color with a 3" head with large bubbles. The head falls apart quickly.

Smell: some hints of grass are all that is detectable here. Barely any aroma to notice.

Taste: light grainy malt base with some hints of grass and very littel bitterness. Not much else flavorwise.

Mouthfeel: light in body. Crisp throughout, with a hint of dryness late. Aftertaste is clean.

Drinkability: all around boring beer that can be consumed with some hot and spicy food, but not as a stand alone session beer.

I've got to question the brewery: the bottle I'm holding says Anheuser-Busch, L.A. Cali. The bottle has a bottled on date. The beer looks every thing like an American macro-lager. Head collapsed into soap suds within a few seconds. Tastes like Bud Dry. Awful.

Overall very light and clean.

So watery its I found myself double taking a few times that it wasnt really water.

Not much really to say other than its very easy to drink. Aroma and Taste is non-existant. Very simple rice lager. Washed down a meal I guess but really for $7 a bottle you need to offer a bit more than that.
