12oz bottle received as an extra in a trade
L - murky chesnut brown, cloudy and turbid - rather unspeakable looking to be honest, lots of lacing and a thick off-white head
S - Bourbon and vanilla - lots of barrel coming through here
T - Creamy soft caramels with booze and awesome. Hop bitterness is almost non-existent (which I like!) so I would actually classify this as an English Style barleywine
F - a touch prickly with carbonation, but creamy and smooth
O - seriously nice bourbon barrel barleywine. Mighty fine effort

Serving Type- On tap poured into a Tulip Glass
Appearance- A beautiful off read color, little head, pretty strong alcohol legs considering this was not the normal Auld Bitch THIS was the Bourbon Barrel Aged version...
Smell- Sweet malts, dark fruits, sweet smell, tons of bourbon notes, some vanilla on the back end...
Taste- Tons of booze considering its 12% ABV, smooth, dark candied fruit, vanilla, bourbon notes, sweet malts,
Mouth feel- Smooth, a almost scotch like sipping beer, great beer for winter
Overall- One of the best Bourbon Barrel Aged Barley-wines I have ever had... a super solid beer and I cant wait to have it again

Poured into a little(r) cup with one finger of head on a deep copper colored body.
The smell is faint; mild grain and bread. I was hoping for a little more.
The taste is nice with barnyard sweetness and mild lemon bitterness.
The texture is smooth with low carbonation.
A solid barleywine and enjoyable.
