What an awesome pilsner. Complex and approachable. Among the best I've ever had in the style. You hear pilsner and expect boring and bland- here the grain bill shines and you're teased with just that hint of hop bitterness. Excellent brew that will always have a place in my beer fridge.

Really fresh Pilsner aroma with light citrus flourishes. Flavor notes of biscuit, cracker, hay, cherry, citrus, and pepper. Nice spicy and lightly bitter finish. Very crisp. Very refreshing.

I was a little unhappy when Dandy Lager was retired, but no longer. This is an exceedingly well made Pilsner that is among the best of the style I have ever had.

L: brilliant straw gold permeated by streams of rapidly rising bubbles under a 1" white foam collar with fair retention.

S: smells like bead dough to crackers, mild hops, with a hint of floral, faint grass and citrus.

T: a hint of fruit, medium to medium high hop bitterness, slight apple with a crisp, slightly tart and drying finish. The malt flavors are medium, hop flavors are medium low, apple flavors are medium low.

B-Side Pilsner has a medium light body and medium high carbonation.

O: Refreshing and easy to drink.

Poured from a 12 oz. can into an Indeed shaker glass.

Appearance: Pours a bright and clear golden orange. Moderate amount of bubbles and a slight finger of off white head that settles into a thin patch.

Smell: A crisp, bready, and earthy balanced aroma of pilsner malt and European hops. Malt scent of biscuit, grains, straw, and cracker with lager yeast. Earthy and spicy scent of German hops with some floral and grassy hints. Some fruity hints of orange and apple. A very nice balanced aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a crisp, bready, and earthy balanced taste of pilsner malt and German hops. Bready malt notes of biscuit, grains, cracker, and straw along with some lager yeast. Solid German hop presence with some spicy, floral, and grassy notes. Light fruit notes of orange and apple. A very nice taste.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with a moderate level of carbonation. Crisp, clean, and very smooth.

Overall: A very good take on a classic German Pilsner style. Good balance of crisp malt notes and German hops.

Poured 12oz can into Pils glass. Clear straw color with a foamy 2 finger white head. Aroma of bready and clean malts with some grassy and spicy Nobel hops. Flavor is grains, bready malts, and it has a dose of spicy and bitter hops, a bit more than I would expect in a Pils. Crisp and clean, finishes dry with a lighter body. Interesting take on this Pils.

This beer pours a clear light golden color. The head is a inch of foam that recedes rather quickly into nice lacing. The aroma is a balance of bready malt and spicy hops. The taste leans much more on the hops, et refrains from going out of balance. There are still some nice bready things in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium-light bodied with appropriately high carbonation. Overall, this is a really well made beer. I can see this beer becoming a regular of mine.

12oz can. Served in a willi becher glass. Pours a slightly murky golden yellow body, one finger white head, good retention and splotches of lacing. Smell is crisp grain, a bit of floral notes, minerals, a bit of sulphur. Flavour is similar, a bit bland though. Floral, mineral, fair bit of biscuit and grain. Mouthfeel is lighter bodied, good carbonation, reasonably drinkable, crisp floral and earthy bitterness. Fairly solid and pedestrian pilsner.
