This is pretty good. Light amber with a white head that settles out but leaves some sticky marks on the glass. Slightly cloudy. A little more bitter than I expected, but full of fresh hops in both the aroma and taste with the fresh fruit, new cut grass and herbs. Bitterness hits mid drink and finishes strong with a touch of dryness. Drinks light but bigger than it's 4.9 abv and the 16 oz can help with making it satisfying.
Not overly complex but just full of some delicious fresh hop flavors.

Poured from a 16 oz. can into an Indeed pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a bright amber orange. Moderate amount of bubbles and a slight finger of off white head that settles into a thin patchy layer.

Smell: A juicy and dank hop driven aroma with a scent of citrus and pine. Citrus hop scent of grapefruit, orange peel, mango, and tangerine along with some pineapple and blueberry. Earthy hop scent of pine resin and grass. Malt hints of caramel, grains, wheat, and cracker with yeast. A pretty good aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a juicy and piney hop driven taste with notes of citrus and pine. Juicy citrus hop notes of orange peel, grapefruit, tangerine, and mango along with some notes of blueberry and pineapple. Earthy hop notes of pine resin and grass. Backing malt notes of caramel, wheat, grains, and cracker along with some yeast. A very nice juicy taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate level of carbonation. Juicy and pretty smooth.

Overall: A pretty good Fresh Hop Ale. Good juicy and piney hop flavor with moderate bitterness.

Hoppy aroma, somewhat can tell it's Mosaic. The taste is driven by the hops as well - very bitter and hoppy, but I am not getting the full range of Mosaic hops. Caramel and toasted malt backing, but definitely on the bitter side. Nice dry finish. Very good Pale Ale, but it isn't clearly a fresh hop or Mosaic driven.

i dont know how much this changes year to year, but they used moasic this year, and its sensational. on tap at blue door in the twin cities, a great draft to have. almost amber in color, lots of malt depth to this, with a really tall several inches of white head and great clarity for the style. it smells a touch sweet, but also bitey with fresh mosaic, limes and pine trees come to mind, less tropical than other expressions of it, perhaps because of all the grain. i love the flavor, which starts on the almost acidic citrus side, and moves swiftly though to a more sweet oily honey thing where the wet hops are evident. full bodied too, a little sweet, and with just a hint of pineapple flavor on the very back. really enjoyed this one, although its weird, it didnt warm up all that well. i find that with a lot of wet hopped beers, colder the better within reason. nice carbonation and grain structure. its cool to see they bottle this too, i would love to get my hands on one at some point. indeed is one of the best in the twin cities, and this is another sparkling example of their preeminence!

edit: mosaic again in 2016, but even better than last year! this has a crazy juicy mosaic profile, the real essence of the hop. arguably the best wet hop beer in the state right now!
