I think I've found a new favorite summer beer.
Pours red gold with a good amount of carbonation and head. Aroma is bright, floral and damn cheery. There's a sweetness with overtones of honey. Taste is clean, floral, sweet with a last lingering honey and dates profile. This is really wonderful. Light but tasty.

Poured from a pint can into a Guinness pint glass
L: Pours a lighter brown or amber with two fingers of off-white head that tends to linger. Moderate translucence but still with some opacity.
S: Tremendous lavender aroma up front with some notes of honey, beneath is a bit of a dark fruit sweetness. Almost overpowering.
T: The lavender comes through immediately, followed by the sunflower honey which lends a sweet and nutty ground for the floral and almost fruity lavender. Beneath this is a dark sweetness and a slightly bitter finish.
F: Refreshingly carbonated. Slightly more body than expected, but not enough to make it unpleasant.
O: This ale is a terrific floral-forward aroma bomb with a refreshing mid-late spring flavor. Would have preferred it a bit lighter in body and ABV but it's not nearly enough to be a problem. Will gladly pick up again.

Brew is hazy orange in color with a modest offwhite head. Intense aroma of lavender; notes of honey are also evident in the nose. Low carbonation. Sweet palate with little or no hops in evidence (is the lavender intended to play their herbal role?). A bravely unique beer.

Poured from a crowler into a pint glass. Pours deep orange yellow with a small white head. Smells of honey with lavender. Tastes of minty lavender with nice hints of honey. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a medium gold-orange with a quarter finger white head that dissipates to patches with slight lacing. Aroma of candi malt, lavender, mild dates; very aromatic. Flavor is candi malt, honey, lavender, dates and a hint of lemon. Finish is semi-sweet lavender with a light herbal bitterness. Medium bodied with light creaminess. Delivers what it promises, with a floral mixture of honey and lavendear mediated by light dates. A faint citrus flavor develops near the finish which is drier and leaves herbal, rather than hop bitterness, like a sahti. The lavendear is interesting, but it is a dominating aroma and flavor that gave me all of my daily recommended floral quotient for the day. The base is somewhat like a golden ale made with honey and is pleasant. I enjoyed this, but it is floral enough that it is a one time experience. I like this brewery's use of honey and would like to try more.

Quite an interesting brew no bitterness with mild lavender good honey notes and actually tastes of dark fruits with the dates. Nothing I would run out and get again but like I said smooth easy drinking and well interesting.

Look: Cloudy orange. One finger of foamy white head with good retention.
Smell: Sweet and fruity, with strong date notes mixed with subdued lavender.
Taste: Mild honey flavor followed by a gentle lavender note. Subtly sweet without any hops or other bittering agents.
Mouthfeel: Smooth and velvety with high carbonation.
Overall: A little too mild, but very drinkable and cool.

Thanks, Sam!
Got this along with seven other beers from Sam. Had four of the Indeed beers before on Beer Advocate, ranging from a 3.66 to a 3.98. Online description read, “Hello, beautiful stranger. A kaleidoscopic spiral of Lavender, Sunflower honey, and Dates, LSD sets the stage for a mind-bending beer experience as electrifying floral aromas dance atop rich notes of fruit and honey. Are you experienced?” Interesting.
Poured a copper, slightly hazy color with three fingers of khaki white head. Fast moving bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Below average watery lacing. Decent watery retention. (Sight - 3.50)
Smelled lavender, rose blossom, floraly perfume, hints of cinnamon, brown sugar, honey, dates, raisin, plum and caramel. More of the same from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted even better than the nose. Got lavender, rose, floraly perfume, cinnamon, brown sugar, honey, dates, raisin, plum, caramel, herbal and mango peel. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy-to-sticky texture. Soft carbonation. Long, spicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Just an excellent beer. Best Indeed beer I’ve had. (Overall - 4.25)

Gosh, I don't even know how I obtained this beer as I probably traded for it a while ago. The bottom of the can said that this would be best by 2/2/18 but even a year after that, this tasted fresh, lively, and *different* than anything I've ever had - even for beers of this style. This was so good that it nearly won me over to this style!
Lovely pour to this as the radiant, almond hue to the liquid was topped off by plenty of tan and offsetting foam that complemented it beautifully. Most of the lacing left on the side of my pint glass was in a deep ring near the top as the body and mouthfeel were light while staying full enough to appreciate. Tons of lavender, dates, floral, and potpourri notes in the nose as this felt like something straight out of Woodstock with a ton of perfume and wheat thrown in for good measure. The mouthfeel was full of sunflower honey as this had a pure sweetness to it that contained zero sugar or overt kick with the end result being a beer that was quite natural and unrestrained; as the lavender and dates only added to it's organic appeal. An orange blossom-like slickness lingered on my palate long after this went down as the lack of carbonation only added to the thick and everlasting appeal of this liquid.
There was a perfect amount of alcohol in this as the liquid felt like nectar without the sugar and juice without the tanginess. If you like your beers to be floral, natural, and rustic, you have you match here as this came across as something transported to the future from the 60's. From the can design to the naturalistic feel, this was such a throwback beer that it was relevant here in the 21st century. Drink this to find out what once was, and what the status of the industry currently is!

Pours a fairly clear amber color. The head is off white, frothy, 3 finger, and has decent retention, with some nice lacing on the glass.
The nose is kinda funky. I do get the dates. A hint of the honey.
Taste - it is a funky beer. It has the flavors described in the name mashed together. The honey and the dates seem to be up front, with the lavender and sunflower on the backside. The backside is the funky, more wild part of this beer.
The body is decent, and the wild funky feeling does linger in my palate, along with some carbonation.
I don't know how people rate this beer as low as the average is. It is different, but it does work, and is a solid beer.
