Visited on a weekday for lunch. THe place was clean and modern with lots of military memorabilia in keeping with the owner's veteran roots. Food was excellent and cheap. Service was good. There were 12 beers on tap listed on the chalkboard. I have had several of their beers in cans, but haven't had any on tap yet. Unfortunately, I was returnign to work after lunch and could not partake that day. I will have to go back and try to beer soon.

After 3 visits, every beer I've had from them is off. Medicinal backbite in all. Most recently, each beer smells like sweaty gym socks...dirty taplines? Their flagship (IPA) is a huge disappointment. I wouldn't want to bottle it if I brewed it in my garage. Huge, painfully obvious flaws in each.

The place is filthy. Several tables and most bar stool spots were left with crumbs and sticky residue. The floor was the same. That's all with several servers sitting around, lazily wrapping silverware in napkins. Just gross atmosphere.

Selection isn't great. Only draft beer. Since the house beer simply isn't good, someone with beer experience is forced to drink one of the six guest taps.

Contrastingly, the food here is good. I've eaten here twice. Generous portion sizes. Pickle burger is legit.

A place with this real estate should be killing it because they are the only game in town.

Ownership needs a new brew master and somebody to manage the front of the house. Until they improve, don't waste your time, just drink at the Craft Bar in Destin or WOB in P-cola.

Disgrace to craft beer.
Anyone who says their beers are "good", has no clue what good beer is. All 4 of the beers I had were severely flawed with significant off tastes. Most of them were not even to the style of beer they were supposed to be and ALL of them had terrible after tastes (plastic, chemical, etc) They can't even make an IPA that is decent!
I cannot understand why or how this place has been open for 4 years!? Unless it's just because there is NO other places on the beer scene anywhere close by.
Did NOT eat food. Too offended by the beers.
One of the 10 WORST breweries I have been to in the country (out of 100's).

From the outside, about as impressive as a PETSMART. Located at the end of a strip mall, I drove past this place a couple of times before I talked my girlfriend in to stopping. However, once inside it was great. I had the Flying Coffin IPA, which I found to be excellent. Great vibe and great service.

Our condo was located in Rosemary beach, not far from Fort Walton Beach, where my research had pointed out a small brewpub called Props Brewery and Grill. As per my usual routine, I am driven to seek out new breweries and try them out wherever I travel. Even if the results are not up to my standards, it hurts me in my beer-loving soul to let these places go unvisited. Luckily my family was willing to play along and get dragged to lunch at this establishment.

Props is located at the end of a strip mall (across the parking lot from Beach Liquors) and is pretty unassuming at first glance. Upon entering, the place is somewhat dark and industrial looking with a small bar across from the entrance, complete with propeller tap handles. The 7 barrel brewhouse is off the left and pretty open for observation. They have added 15 barrel fermenters recently and this allows them to do a double batch for fermentation. Airplane props are mounted on the walls and a huge propeller hangs from the ceiling as an overhead fan (not in use on this winter day unfortunately). At least 6 large TV's are mounted from the ceiling or walls and were broadcasting all different football games. For those who know me, sports are not my bag, so this dropped the ambiance a bit for me. I'm sure other people would come visit just for a good place to watch "the game" though. We were seated quickly and the service was very good.

The food was pretty classic brewpub fare with salads, apps, burgers, mac & cheese, etc. I had fish and chips that was pleasant and had a nice spice to the beer batter. Everyone was fairly pleased with their orders, and the wait wasn't terrible.

My sister and I shared 2 beer samplers so we could try all the offerings between the two of us. The Flying Coffin IPA has a great name, but seemed a bit too sweet for me...maybe too much caramel malt. The "Blonde" Bomber was a buttery diacetyl bomb. I picked a bit of that up in a couple more of the beers, but not as extreme as the blonde. I enjoyed the Jovie Ale spiced holiday ale quite a lot, having a subtle but present spice and higher alcohol content. I have had worse beer at small brewpubs, but this was not good enough that I'd go out of my for it.

Overall, I enjoyed our lunch at the brewpub, and was pleased to find any craft beer in the fabled beer waste-land that is Florida. If I lived or vacationed near here, I'd probably stop by again. I'm pleased that the craft beer movement has even taken hold in this area, and wish the place luck in making a go of it. I'd love to know more about the place, ie why is it called Props? But not much information is present on their out of date website!

Nice little brewery in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Not the largest selection of beers yet, but the staff is awesome, and the food is great. What beers they do have are pretty good for how small and young this brewery is. Love going here for a couple beers and some food after a long day at work.

If you're someone that even remotely knows beer, this is the place in the Destin/Fort Walton Beach area for you. I was recently down here visiting from Pennsylvania and happened to see this place while driving in to the island.

We spotted it driving in and made it a point to go there, particularly after being really really disappointed in what was available as far as brewpubs/microbreweries in the area. I was starting to question if there was any place to get a decent beer in the whole of Fort Walton Beach.

We had the opportunity to go in the morning, right when they opened - there were three of us and no one else was in the place yet. We each had a round of the Flying Coffin IPA, the Blonde, and a Rye.

They were across the board well above average and I found myself really liking the IPA.

I would highly recommend this place if you're going to bother going to place that makes their own around there.

Unfortunately, we didn't get food because we had alternative lunch plans, but I spotted a few menu items that although were 'standard pub fare', this is a brewpub and from how clean, nice, and judging on the quality of their beer, the food would probably be great.

That being said, I only did actually have the beers, and after facing what I considered an absolute drought of anything good, this was the light at the end of my tunnel on this trip.

Wonderful place, nice menu selection. Always a great selection of beers, currently have 5 of their own on tap. Something for everyone. They also have live music and enough TV's to allow all sports fans to ben content. The servers will take great care of you and make you feel right at home.
