12oz brown bottle, sample from the brewery.

Two fingers of froth slowly drops to some sticky lacing. Spicy wheat, earthy hops, nutty yeast, and bready malt make for a pleasing aroma. Deep crispness, smooth medium body. Fluffy maltiness, slightly chewy with rustic bready overtones. Ample hopping with a very well balanced bitterness. Some spicy woody hop flavor and nutty yeast flavors in the middle. Refreshing finish that makes me want to quaff it again and again.

This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a pale/hazy burnt orange color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a decent pace. Mild stringy lace. The aroma weaves light sweet pulpy orange into a sweet wheaty base. Low bitterness. The flavor takes the orange and the sweet wheat to combine nicely. Wheat doesn’t bite in aftertaste or finish but comes across smoothly balancing with the orange nicely. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a clenching grip of the wheat on my tongue. Low to medium carbonation. Overall, nice APWA with a bit more body to it than some others of it’s style. Still, a nice thirst quencher and crushable.

I picked up a bottle of Ore Dock's Bums Beach Wheat at Boyne Country Provisions. I've been meaning to try more beers from this brewery and I thought I would take a chance on this one so lets see how it goes. 2016 Vintage. Poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a imperial pint glass.

A- The label looks good, it goes well with the name and it's a little eye catching. It poured a nice orange color that takes on more of a hazy golden orange color when held to the light with two and a half fingers worth of slightly creamy, fluffy, off white head that died down to a thin ring that eventually faded away and it left a little bit of spotty lacing behind. THis is a good looking beer, I have no complaints.

S- The aroma starts off with a slightly higher amount of medium sweetness with a nice stone fruit aroma being the first to show up with no single fruit seeming to stick out the most. Up next comes a little bit of estery yeast and spices coming through with malts showing up next and they impart a wheat, grainy, pale malt, bready and biscuit like malt aromas . This beer as a pretty nice aroma, it's standard for the style.

T- The taste seems to be similar to the aroma and it starts off with a slightly higher amount of medium sweetness with the fruits being the first to show up, it's still has some stonefruits, but there's also some nice citrus rind like aromas. Up next comes a the yeast which imparts the same aspects and it's followed by the malts which are a little lighter than they were in the aroma, but they impart all the same aspects. On the finish there's hardly any bitterness with a little sweetness taking it's place and it has a fruity and estery yeast aftertaste. This is a good tasting beer, all the flavors work well together.

M- Smooth, crisp, a little clean, on the slightly lighter side of being medium bodied with a higher amount of medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is good and it works well with this beer.

Overall I thought this was a good beer and good example of the style, it had all the flavors that I was looking for and they all worked well together. This beer had good drinkability, I could drink a few of these when it's warm out. What I like the most about this beer is the balance and how well the flavors work together, to me those are the highlights. What I like the least about this beer is the aroma, it's not bad, but it's a little bland. I would buy this beer again when in the mood for the style and I would recommend it to anyone looking for the same. All in all was happy with this beer, I'm still not completely sold on this brewery, but this beer is making me steer in the right direction. It's my new favorite beer from this brewery and it's a good example of the style. Good job guys this is a tasty beer, keep it up.

Pours a beautiful golden color. Fairly murky. Thick, frothy head. Lots of carbonation in the beer. There isn't a lot of nose to this beer. There's some of the wheat aroma to it, but it's muted. The beer tastes like a standard wheat beer. The banana fee is present. You get some of the carbonation in the feel also. Delicious wheat beer, and I'd gladly have my friend get more the next time he's in the UP.

Had the Bum's Beach Wheat off the taproom tap into a fluted tulip

A- Light golden orange hue with an amber heart, a 1/2 finger sea foam head that settled to a sticky lacing.

S- Apricot, oranges, moms fresh baked bread

T- A tangerine wheat creamsicle with a nice slight hop finish to keep it crisp.

M- Perfect carbonation with a creamy pleasant balance.

O- Get ready for spring, this beer gives you every reason to enjoy the sun
