Very cool brewery spot located downtown in Marquette. I tried the wheat beer, reclamation IPA, recl IPA radler and the cherry kolsch - all very drinkable and refreshing on a warm summer day. Outdoor seating is very cozy but limited. Bar staff very friendly. Parking is readily available on the street or in the adjacent municipal lot.

This is pretty much the place to go in Michigan's Upper Peninsula if you're into Belgian-style beers. I've had many good brews from this company, and when I'm in town, I do enjoy the atmosphere. If you go, expect to walk up to the bar for service (not a great place to go if you're with a needy group.) My only complaint is that their beers tend to be a bit hop-heavy, so sometimes I find the selection to be a bit limited for my tastes.

Great beer and good prices. Bartenders are awesome and knowledgeable. I like being there during the day. It's quiet in the downstairs part. I was drinking tap beeer and wanted a a cap and the bartender went in back and brought me out a few new bottle caps

Rather typical taproom atmosphere with a bar and several tables looking upon the brewery space behind glass. Service was prompt and friendly and eager to answer questions. Nice selection of varying styles available while adding their own unique twist. An unusual tea infused pale ale that tasted like pure bergamot and a really nice brown ale. Around 10 choices during my visit. The upstairs space is where the action takes place. A separate bar and restrooms and much more open and room to roam. I guess they have bands play in here and that would be cool. Probably hopping on a good weekend. Really liked the growler glass and was tempted to buy but balked at the $20 tag.

If you like bitter. This is the place for you. Every beer is bitter, bitter, bitter. They all kind of run together with the same bitter aftertaste.

Highly recommend this place if you are in the area. I drove to the u.p. for a hunting trip and then spent another hour in the car in a snow storm to get there. It is a cool place, great beer, exceptional upstairs space for a large gathering, group events or just a wildly large tasting party. had fun there with a local beer bud and even sat in on a local home brew club. wow, fun times.
bought a few beers a shirt for me and the wifey and all good.

cheers.

My wife and I stopped here as part of a pub crawl in northern Michigan and the UP to visit the newer brewpubs (plus several others) that have opened since our last trip ‘up north’. This is one of the new ones that just recently opened.

The place has a storefront setting between two other businesses along a street that is just off the main downtown area. A large garage door dominates the front exterior wall of the pub, and I assume that they open it during the warm season. The interior consists of a bar and 8-10 tables. There is no food, although they are food-friendly. We sat at the bar and ordered a sampler flight of 5 of the 9 beers that were available. ($6 for five 4-oz pours.) For being a new brewery that have dialed-in the beers fairly well, and exceeded my expectations for a couple of them. The Angry Bear (a Flanders-style Brown) was very good, and we also felt that the IPA was above average. The other three were good, but more to just being on-style without being anything special.

We enjoyed this visit, although just briefly to have a sampler and then to move along to the next place. Hopefully we can spend more time here on the next time in town.

Ore Dock has the same feel as many new brewpubs these days. Light colored wood, high ceilings, exposed beams and steel, local artisans, and a chalkboard. With that said it's different enough to be appreciated. The area is large and open with the tanks back behind a glassed off wall toward the back. There are some tables scattered around and the bar seats about 15. The bartenders the couple times I stopped in were friendly, helpful and quick to offer samples without even being asked. This place had a nice buzz to it.

The selection was respectable and the taplist right down my alley. There were 9 beers on cask on my visits and 1 cask offering, a barrel aged Flander's brown, that was pretty tasty. All the beers I sampled were good and some were standouts. Fresh Coast (Belgian IPA), Reclamation IPA, and the Harvest Saison were all delicious while the Ore Dock Export, Session Pale, and Dark Mile were all good. Prices are about like any other brewpub these days but make sure you bring your own growler for fills. Refills are a reasonable $12 but if you buy their growler and get it filled it's a whopping $30. They use the big German style flip-tops.

This place is surely worth a stop when in Marquette, the crowd was much better than at Blackrocks and this place is more of a hangout bar than the dining room of Vierling. Good prices, good service, and a good crowd make Ore Dock a pleaser.

Awesome place! The Ore Dock Brewery features a downstairs taproom with a great view of the brewing process and comfortable seating with several TVs for your sports viewing pleasure. The huge upstairs taproom showcases a community space available for parties and groups, a live music area, and plenty of seating on comfy couches and even a two-person porch swing! The downstairs taproom is open Tuesday thru Sunday, while the upstairs taproom and community space are open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. Most weekends you can find talented local musicians playing upstairs but if what you want is a quiet place to relax and enjoy some outstanding craft beer, the cozy downstairs area is the place to be. If you are a beer geek the Ore Dock Brewery is a must stop! Great selection of brews, I strongly suggest The IPA, Bum's Beach Wheat, the Winter Witbier, DreamWeaver, or the Saison. Everything is fantastic!

A welcomed addition to the growing Marquette craft scene! The space is beautiful...everything from the garage door (gives me a Portland/Texas roadhouse feel in a good way) to the photos of the construction, to the beautiful marble counters for the back bar. Much thought went into the lay out and construction.

The upstairs is fantastic. Featuring possibly the biggest bar in the U.P.? (maybe not a FACT, but close). The long bar makes it easy to access drinks from both sides of the upstairs area, which has a nice "lounge" style seating area on the front of the building, while the back of the building has access from a wheel chair ramp, and a nice stage area for live music. The acoustics are lacking a bit, but it's a brick building...and they are young. I'm not going to knock anyone for acoustics, we are here to drink beer damn it. Some pretty snazzy bar stools made out of reclaimed (or new?) plumbing where a nice touch as well.

Awesome place. The beer was tasty, but they didn't have much to offer either time I was there, which is why I'm giving them a 3.5 for selection. They had a huge weekend for their grand opening Labor Day weekend, and that rolled right into U.P. Craft Beer week and the U.P. Fall Beer fest, so they probably saw thousands of beer geeks rolling through looking to consume what they had to offer. Maybe some better planning would have eliminated a complete run out of their beer, but then again, that tells me people were enjoying it and purchasing, so you can't fault them for that.

Check this place out, they are doing great things, and will continue to improve on what they have started. The beers seemed to be right on (the Belgian IPA was awesome, as well as the brown and the Zin Barrel Cocoa Blackberry Stout I sampled at Mattson Park for Beerfest.). Fun, lively, energetic, and growing.
