First off, simple beers and good beers are all around $5 a pint. Most of the time in appropriate glass (PBR), gets served in a mason jar! Everything is fresh, staff is on top of it (knowledgeable), nice and amazing. The building is clean from top to bottom, bar to bathroom. No food, which is a bummer but surrounded by fast-food and some decent local places. They serve water, coffee and pop to those who don't drink or have had to much. Taps rotate decently. You can buy 12oz and bombers of specialty beer (sometimes). They have shuffle board which to be completely honest, is awesome! Plenty of room inside and tons of room outside for the smoker and non-smoker a like. Tasting nights (bring up to 5 rare beers to taste and taste something you haven't had). Tons of parking space. Bands play pretty regularly. To be completely honest. You would be hard pressed to find a place as awesome, inexpensive and with such a great selection in San Luis Obispo county. Could use a kitchen, but other than that, this place is at the top of my list for this county, wow! MPBC has their own beers and a very nice 15 tap selection of great craft brew! Try this place out, you will not be disappointed!

As a Atascadero native, finding a place to get a good beer on tap in our little town has been a challenge to say the least. All of the bars in town serve nothing but "the usuals".

Along comes Molly Pitcher Brewing company, a locally owned start up brewing company and pour house, bringing exactly what the town needed. Fifteen (I believe) rotating handles are the centerpiece of the brewery / bar, featuring all of the greats like Heretic, Stone, Dogfish Head, Figueroa Mountain, Drakes, Lost Abbey (oh yes, Serpents Stout on tap is as good as it sounds), Sierra Nevada, Ballast Point, Dechutes, Hangar 24, our other local brewery Firestone, Lagunitas, and many, many others. Additionally, they also pour typically three of their own brews made in the same building by the owners. Beers are usually only $5, and are very generous pours even for some of the heavier duty beers. Beers are also for the most part served in their correct glassware as well.

In addition to everything on tap, they also sell bottles of some other brews, some raritys, and specialty beers at very reasonable prices. Aside from the beers, the bar is a nice place to drink with a heavy wood bar, hand crafted polished concrete and steel tables, and a nice outdoor area for drinking, smoking, or just enjoying the California weather. The bar also frequently has musical guests. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and love talkin shop about the beers.

If you are looking for a beer in Atascadero, there should be nowhere else on your mind; Molly Pitcher is the place to be. Even if you are lookin for a new place to drink some good brew in the entirety of SLO county, you will be hard pressed to find a better all around place to come enjoy a cold one.

Located in the heart of Atascadero's "Downtown" is the brand new Molly Pitcher Brewing Co.. The brewery's owners Kendall Bryson and Brian Vogel use their 1 barrel brewing system to offer customers 3 different house ales ( "The Colonel" {IPA}, "Session Stout" {Stout} and "The Standard" {English Style Bitter}) along with 12 rotating craft beers on tap and several bottled selections.

The look of the brewery is "Classic Americana"; from it's old fashion style logo, to the gorgeous wooden bar that was made from a reclaimed water tank, to the rough industrial concrete floor and even the polished concrete top tables. Every facet of the place seems to speak to the soul of the area.
