Poured into shaped grip glass: color is gold, a slight chill haze, head is off white with small bubbles, head presents about 1/2 inch thick, then dissipates to a thin top with good lacing on the glass.

Smell is light citrus hops upfront then some light toasted malt.

Taste is fairly malty with intermingling hop bitterness and citrus flavors; hops are biscuit and toast, light caramel.

Mouthfeel is low carbonation but strong presence on the tongue with sharp, lingering bitter dryness.

Overall a good beer, a touch sweet in flavor but dry in the finish; I'd like to try it fresher and on draft.

A - Medium copper hue with a thin lacing cover of white.

S - Light citrus with biscuits caramel malt backbone.

T - Biscuity caramel malt with a nice wall of resiny citrus rind sweetness that morphs to a lingering citrus bitterness. There is some buttery presence up front.

M- Medium body with low carbonation.

O - This was a surprise beer, want more!
