12 oz. bottle poured into tall mug
(possibly June 11, 2017 ... "17162" printed on neck label)

L: clear amber, almost dark enough to call copper but with loads of red in it; pushes up 1/2- to 3/4-inch head of white/offwhite foam that sticks a little; keeps a thick collar and full skin; no major lacing

S: donuts, slight bread malt, peach, apricot, cherry candy, strawberry jelly; as it warms, toffee

T: peaches and cream, donuts, a little earthy hop bite in the background ... it's fruity sweet up front but it's hard to call the fruit -- not exactly peach or apricot but similar, almost like a mix of cantaloupe with peach/apricot; as it warms, starts getting a bit of the bready malt flavor, a little toffee

F: light and crisp, loaded with carbonation, very mouth-filling

O: tasty beer but a little elusive in trying to describe ... it has neither the big bready malt flavor nor the good earthy bitter hop bite of the standard English pale ale, but what it does have seems heading in that style's sweeter malt side's direction; reminds me of several good "American pale lagers" and like those beers it makes for an excellent drinker; I'm glad I finally tried it again (it's been at least 12 years, probably more) ... it won't replace my favorite English pales but it is good enough to earn a spot in my rotation

Hard to find these days, but good if I'm looking for something with a little more body than what I usually drink. Has a good UK feel to it.

On tap at the Olde Orchard pub in Montreal. Pours mid copper with creamy off white head and moderate lacing. Aroma: Caramel, Flavour: caramel, bready, modest hop bitterness. Well balanced.

I can usually go for one of these. Not mind blowing but pretty good. One of those beers I used to choose when I just wanted something different.

The beer is a clear golden color with nice carbonation and a thin white head. Nice light aroma of floral hops and malts, not over powering. The beer is well balanced between the sweet malts and floral hops, once again very subtle in flavor. The beer is medium bodied and easy to drink.
