Our flagship beer is a refreshing Golden brew that uses a blend of the finest Canadian and German malts giving it a smooth mild body that balances the crisp, pleasant German hop finish. The hops used in this local brew are soon to be grown at our very own hop yard at the Phillips farm in Manotick.

Beautiful clear darkish amber colour with one inch of yellowish head that became a slick. Fast streams of carbonation. Bit of lacing but no retention.
Mild matly aroma. Pound cake with a whiff of German hops.
Mild taste. Generic mild hops and light-weight malt. Herby steel mild bitter aftertaste.
Light side of medium.
This is just too mild for me. OK for a mainstream ale.

Draft at the brewery
Creamy frothy head with fair retention, a bit of lacing, clear pale color
Nose light lager, little macro like unhappy lager notes, minerals hunting at sulfur, sweet corn and grain, hint of herbal hop
Taste mild corn and grain with a bit more mineral faint sulfur, hinting at skunky unhappy macro lager notes, touch of herbal hop, light buttery diacetyl buttered popcorn, drier finish
Mouth is med to lighter bod, med to lighter carb, touch of slickness
Overall not great

L: Translucent pale yellow, a thin head, and lots of rising bubbles
S: Pleasant hard to describe floral ale smell that improves with time.
T: A bit boring but decent and not corny. Light earthy citrusy hops and light wheaty malts.
F: Refreshing light body and frothy carbonation, a bit sticky
O: Definitely better than any macro beer. Not quite as good as I hoped but I think it lives up to it's description as a complex crusher.

I may be partial as this brewery is down the street from me, however, I think this is the quintessential backyard BBQ beer. Tastes delicious and goes down really well.
