Lawnmower Lager IPL is a citrusy hop-forward India Pale Lager. The perfect hot summer day’s beer. Lots of hop flavor and aroma; not overly bitter. Nice, smooth finish. Falconer’s Flight hops backed up by Glacier. Bright, golden color with a thick, creamy head. All malt grain bill (no adjuncts).

I like Baderbrau beers and have heard some good things about this one. I was at Binny’s and it was on sale for $8.99 for a 6 pack of cans so it was a no brainer to pick some up.
Poured into a shaker, the beer is a chill hazed yellow with a dense chiffon like head and good lacing.
Nice aroma of citrus (lemon and grapefruit), pears and crackers.
It is nicely bitter with grapefruit and floral notes. The malt adds a slightly sweet bread like component. It remains nicely but not over powering bitter throughout.
The mouth is crisp, yet slightly coating.
I really enjoyed this beer and will be getting some more soon.

Pours yellow. Foamy, tall, white head that lasts a while fading to a rocky head with light lacing.
Smells citrus, pine, light caramel malt, grain, grassy and fruit.
Tastes bitter pine and citrus peel. Followed by some malt and grassiness with hints of pear and apple. Finish is dry with a long bitter citrus peel and pine linger. Medium body and creamy medium carbonation.

A: The beer is relatively clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of grapefruit and pears are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and the combination of grapefruit and pears almost resembles gooseberries to some degree. The hops also contribute a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat crisp (from the hops) on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. There is also a touch of dryness in the finish.
O: This IPL is very flavorful and has nice aromas and flavors from the hops. It is a cut above your typical lawnmower beer.

Grabbed this one as part of a pick your own sixer...had heard good things about it and I was not disappointed at all. Huge piney notes on the palate, reminds me of summer for sure! Winner winner lawnmower dinner from this local brewery. Nice job!
