Had at atlas brewing. Poured from tap into a taster. Pours a dark brown color with a foamy head.
Pungent with aromas of smoke, roasted malts, bitter chocolate and espresso.
Full bodied, but well together with a really nice feel. Big, but balanced with chocolate, smoke and roasted malts.
This was my innaugeration into atlas and I enjoyed it. A bigger beer, but not boozy or overdone. The smoke didn't overpower and it provided a nice addition to the beer.

Thanks Chris for sharing this beer today!
Got a full pour, served in a tulip glass.
Muddy dark brown, some copper clarity visible as its poured. Looks black in the glass with a thin layer of light tan foam across the surface. Aroma is light, some roast malt and light coffee, not all that smoky really. Flavor is pleasantly dry and bitter, mild notes of bakers chocolate and coffee again. Smooth, dry, and roasty. A textbook porter, well put together and flavorful though.

Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.
Another stop on the Second Annual Bachelor Party Free-For-All! This one pours a dark black-brown, with garnet highlights, topped by a finger of lightly off-cream-white foam. The nose comprises roasted malts, light smoked ham, and light dark chocolate. The taste brings in more of the same, with the smoke coming through a bit stronger now, though with less of a hammy character as well. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, a very nice smoked porter, one that doesn't overdo it on the smoke (though I do feel it could use either more smoke or a more flavorful version thereof).
