Thanks to Woemad for this one. 12oz can (no date) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a lightly hazy medium yellow color with over an inch of white head that had good retention and lacing.
The aroma had light grains and floral hops, with a touch of sweetness.
Same on the tongue, with the hops popping a bit more, and some sweetness on the finish.
The body was nicely smooth, even, and, again, a slightly sweet finish where I might have liked a drier ending.
Drinkability was very good, I could easily see crushing a bunch of these while tubing down the Nooksack.
Overall, a very nice brew. Certainly worth your time if you get the chance.

22oz bottle purchased at the brewery for roughly $5 (right now IG is running a special where you get a pizza and two bombers for $20). I think it would be $6 by itself. What is Lucky You, you ask? It's a music venue not far from the brewery. If it weren't currently shuttered due to Covid-19, you could stop by the Lucky You Lounge, enjoy a set from, say, Mike Watt or Built To Spill (to mention just two of the non-local acts that have played there), and enjoy this beer on-tap.
Poured into a vaguely tulip-shaped 12oz glass, this was a nice looking beer. Good clarity, with a golden color and a tight, eggshell-white head.
Grassy and softly herbal hop aromas. A little perfume as well.
The herbal, grassy hoppiness is.up front, but in a manner appropriate for the style. There's a cracker maltiness present as well, more so in the taste than in the nose, that's balanced just right.
Carbonation seems a little bit low for the style, but not to a a point where it's a deal breaker. It's still decently crisp and clean at the finish.
Years ago, I would thumb my nose at pilseners, as they identified with those ubiquitous mass market lagers in my mind. Beers like this make me glad I got over that a long time ago. This will be a nice one to drink outside in the warmer months should they ever get here, and the damn Coronavirus ever recedes enough for outdoor beer drinking with friends to become a thing again.
