This place is absolutely one of the top 3 dining establishments in Toledo, if not the very best. It's critically acclaimed and 5-star reviewed for its food. I love the atmosphere; it's a very good mix of casual and elegant, as advertised, and perhaps the only restaurant of its quality at which you're not ridiculed or looked down upon if you're not dressed up. The service is the best I've ever received, with the most helpful and patient waiters and waitresses I could have hoped for who were prepared to explain anything necessary and to offer suggestions if asked. They also suggested food and drink pairings, and it's obvious they know what they're talking about. They seem to take an interest in the place where they work, what they serve, and the customer. The food is very difficult to explain; it's a seasonally rotated menu using the best and freshest completely local ingredients, so the dishes change frequently. They're prepared masterfully, and the chef has an innate knowledge of how to bring out the greatest complexity of flavors and mingle them together to make the perfect dish. The mixed drinks, particularly martinis, are also all top shelf and all exceptional. Now for the beer: while it isn't the largest selection, it's almost exclusively high quality beers both on tap and in the bottle. There's something for everyone, and a style to match any entree. The taps are also rotated. Beer prices are also reasonable and stick to around what I expect. As far as pricing overall, while it's not cheap, it's less than I might expect to pay for 5 star dining. So compared to other places, a bit pricey, while compared to the quality, definitely reasonable. If you have room, absolutely, at least the first time you go, get the dessert sampler at the end. You won't be sorry.
