Pours a dark amber. Thin foam. Spicy aroma. Spicy cinnamon body. Sweet but not too sweet. Easy drinking. Simple yet delicious. It's just good common sense.

On tap at Swillburger/The Playhouse in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a medium brown, rusted and slightly gold, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
Smells like toasted bread, ginger, clove, and cinnamon. It definitely accomplishes Christmas-y.
The base beer here is decent, but basically unexciting. The spice additions...well, spice it up a bit, but it's hard to get too excited about it with the boring base. It's just kind of bready, and not much else. This certainly doesn't taste bad, it just doesn't wow.
This is medium bodied, with a fairly crisp mouthfeel, and a normal level of carbonation.
This isn't one of the best beers that Upstate does.
