12oz can, sample from the brewery.

More of an old school IPA, that is something I can really appreciate. A little bit darker, well balanced yet the bitterness smacks of being and IPA. Pungent citrus rind and caramel comes to mind, very drinkable and most certainly appeases my hop addiction. Recommended.

I am back with another Beer Review for you guys! I had to "Tick" this beer because I heard it was a Red IPA. I love Red/Amber Ales and adding more Hop Oils is a must for me!...I am about that life! For starters this Brew pours Murky and Deep with an evil Amber Flare. She's got a dark side for a Red Head. The head went away quickly not enough time for me to grasp it's beauty (or Horror). Let's get an aroma from this Ginger! Huge notes of Grapefruit, Lemon, Floral tones of Levender and Dense, Resinous Earthy Hops. Backend has a note of Toasted Bread and burnt Sugar. Mild Chocolate makes it self known and brings a twisted delight.

Lets get the Flavah! First hits with Toasted Bread and Sugar! Next brings those Hop Oils I love. The flavors of Grapefruit, Lemon and Subtle Pineapple brings a chill to my soul. Then comes in a Resinous bite of more Hop Oils that taste like Chewing on a Hop Vine...or Weed Stem. This Finishes Bitter and thin. Aftertaste of Mild Chocolate and Grapefruit. The feel on this is thin and weak with so-so carbonation.

Overall: This is a tasty little devil, not going to lie. Very Hoppy, which I like, and it is Balanced. The Feel is not as hearty as the aroma would tell you but that's my only minus with this brew. Just an Enjoyable Brew that I see myself drinking more of this Fall. This Brew is Recommended!

I like Union a lot but this one's a miss. Nose is decent with a good balance of caramel and hops. Let's down on the palate, musty and spicy, clashes with the malt.

Biscuity, bready malt that at times is reminiscent of Fat Tire and at other times hints at the dry chocolate and fallen leaves of SN Tumbler. This beer is of course much hoppier than both. Bright, green, citrusy notes clash with the malt profile at first, but meld a little better towards the end.

An interesting, well-built beer, just not sure if it's my cup of tea. Lasting impressions are powdered chocolate, lime and pine... Interesting indeed.

Poured from 12 oz. can into IPA glass. Beautiful reddish copper color. 1 finger head with substantial lacing. Aroma is dank and hoppy. Medium carbonation for a pleasant mouthfeel. Taste is all hop up front, grassy and bitter. What follows is a biscuity maltiness. Finishes with another burst of dank hops. Overall, another winner from Union. A heavily hopped Octoberfest beer that combines 2 beer styles (IPA and Octoberfest). Really like this beer and will pick some more up tomorrow before it's gone. Excellent beer.

So my brother wanted to meet in Baltimore to see his favorite band, Dillenger Escape Plan at the Soundstage. We got there and the beer selection was dismal: Miller, Coors, Bud, cider etc. I was about to settle for a Yeungling or Heineken or something when my brother ordered two of these. This tasty little IPA got us through the opening acts and the show was awesome.

Dark reddish brown color with frosty tan lace once the head recedes. Citrus and medicinal hops with caramel malt in reserve. A hint of floral spice of some sort.

Definitely seems flavored with rye or some similar spicy grain. Solid juicy hop bite with citrus and pine predominating. Tasty but no so balanced. Mouthfeel is stiff and carbonated, but works. When in random Baltimore, you could do much worse.
