Pours a deep dark brown pushing towards black with a thin mocha head. Aroma is dark chocolate, smooth roasted coffee; not much pumpkin noted. Taste is smooth malty coffee and dark chocolate; very subtle/muted pumpkin. Sweet full bodied finish - yet something I can not explain - this is good but not great.

6.5% ABV, 11 IBU, 650ml bottle (2015).
A - dark brown almost black with less than half finger head, which fade out really fast.
S - pumpkin, nutmeg right away, pumpkin pie sweetness, can't really get the porter characteristic from it.
T - reasonable carbonation. decent pumpkin taste, vanilla sweet lingering, dark coco bitterness, surprisingly hoppy as of 11 ibu.
O - it sounds like a very good combination of pumkin ale n a porter, no big expectation so no disappointment. average beer, but it's pumpkin season, gotta have one or two locally.

this is a pretty solid beer, sadly what it is not is a solid PUMPKIN beer. i bought it with my seasonal pumpkin splurge, looking for pumpkin flavor, pumpkin spices, anything that says pumpkin, nothing, i got chocolate, i got porter, but no pumpkin. i am giving this a 2.25 overall because of the missing pumpkin flavor!

Draft
Pours clear, very dark (almost black), reddish brown highlights. Tall, light tan head that shrinks quickly to a thin film, thin rings of lace.
Aromas of dark chocolate, roasted malts, more sweetness than bitter or hops. Slight pumpkin pie spice, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon.
Taste starts with dark malts, roasted grains. Also some chocolate and coffee. Pumpkin comes out at the end, cinnamon comes out more as it starts to warm.
Mouth feel is medium bodied, pushing heavy with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth and slightly creamy. Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol.
A nice variation of a pumpkin beer.

Also tried the bottles version. 650 ml bottle

Nice opaque dark beer that produced an almost mousse like head. There a definite chocolate nose with pumpkin just coming in on the edge. A nice rich malty chocolate flavour with a light carbonation. If you like dark flavourful beers I think you'll enjoy this.
