From Notes.

On Cask @ backcountry pizza and tap.

Hazy amber with a fluffy white head.

Muffled hop and caramel aroma.

Served perfectly warm. The bitterness bites at the back, preceded by grain and light fruits.

Silky smooth.

Good show from an outfit I'm glad to now be familiar with.

On tap at the brewery. Orange color, good head. Hoppy arms and flavor with a good malt backing. Clearly not American style but quite hoppy. I enjoyed this one quite a bit.

this was the least impressive of the beers i enjoyed at hogshead, it just doesnt have that it factor the others do, lacking a distinguishing element for sure, but still delicious and well textured from the hand pull, such an awesome format for hoppy beer. golden in color, maybe just darker, but well lighter than the copper colored english ipas i am accustomed to. bitterness is the predominant hop feature here, both in smell and taste, some grassy dried leafy character too in the taste, but bitterness is the name of the game here. lighter medium body keeps it drinkable, but the other beers here are so interesting and dynamic and style bending and enhancing that a relatively plain jane ipa, as nice as it is, is harder to be enthusiastic about here. dryer finish than many of its peers, and a nice but mild english yeast profile here. well made, but not overly inventive, im guessing it wasnt supposed to be

I was expecting a lot more from Galaxy and Hogshead, but it was good.

On cask there is no better IPA anywhere. On CO2 it's also great.
