Notes: You love big, bold hoppy IPA’s. We get it. We love them, too. That’s why we put 600 pounds of hops in every tank of our Hop Lift IPA. Getting that many hops 40 feet up in the air and into our fermenter is no easy task. But we’re up for it. And when you taste this bold, dry-hopped brew bursting with citrus and passion fruit notes, you’ll be glad we did. How we do it, we’ll never tell. Do you need a hop lift today?

Clear pale amber color with two fingers of rocky head that settled to a thick cap after several minutes. Moderate amount of sticky lacing is left down the glass. Rather pedestrian IPA aroma with faint floral and pine notes. You can sense the hops being there, but they just do not punch you in the nose. Unfortunately this carries over in the flavor as well. Just sort of bland but fortunately this is not a bitter bomb as well. Starts with a bit of pine and tropical fruit but it quickly fades away into a watery finish. Nice body and carbonation. It seems that Cold Spring/Third Street are quickly returning to old cost saving ways and it is on display in this beer. Unfortunate as I enjoyed several of their previous efforts.

Purchased this at Aldi In Kansas City. For the price it is a good , refreshing IPA. Lighter than some American IPA's I have tried, but still fairly good body. Nice piney notes on the nose, and plenty of citrus and malt balance on the palate. A great beer to pair with some grilled salmon or chicken, or possibly some smoked Gouda and crackers. And for the price, you cannot go wrong.

Overall, a very enjoyable experience, and a rather nice, drinkable IPA. I will buy more to keep on hand for those days this summer when I want a lighter IPA.

Thanks to JHartley for this one. 16oz can poured into 12oz tulip. Poured a clean, clear light gold/dark yellow color, with 3/4 inch of white head, which had better than moderate retention and nice lacing.

The aroma had a healthy dose of pine, some very light malt, and some citrus tones. Nearly identical flavor profile. The body was on the thicker side than I prefer in the style, and had a sweet, lingering finish. Drinkability was solid, but, I'd probably only have one a day. Overall, an enjoyable brew, it didn't push my buttons, but it's worth a shot if you see it.

Nothing to write home about, but not bad, either.
Saw this at Aldi and thought I’d give it a try since the price was good.

Look: pours a clear light honey/golden color with a moderate head that lingers and sticks to the glass
Smell: not very strong. A few piney notes, but that’s about it
Taste: a light, but refreshing ipa, with some pine and floral notes
Feel: watery

If you are looking for an inexpensive ipa that is a full pint for an ordinary day, than this is a good pick. Not one to go looking for, but not entirely bad, either. It was a decent, light ipa.

Pours a clear golden yellow color with a thin foamy head. Head retention is very good as is lacing. Has a very dank aroma. Has a very dank taste. Not much of a bitter hop to it. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

I have to say for a beer I picked up at Aldi for a little back yard session, I'm impressed.

The pour is a bit hazy, but light and leave a good sized head with good lacing.

It smells like faint citrus and pine.

The taste is all hops, minimal bitterness and crisp. It reminds me of a slightly bolder SNPA.

Hey, I found a cheap, easy drinking IPA, that is crisp and doesn't overwhelm the palate. Cheers!

This beer pours a pale gold with a reasonable head and good lacing. The aroma is fairly light, with touches of caramel, pineapple, orange pee; and grapefruit peel. The flavor offers up grapefruit, caramel, and a hint of pineapple. There is aa decent amount of sweetness to the flavor. The mouthfeel is fairly thick and fizzy. Overall this is a decent IPA, especially fresh, but nothing spectacular.

Look - very slight haze, copper color and a good white head and lacing
Smell - heavy pine grain scent and some citrus
taste - piney slight citrus like the scent. citrus taste like lemon peel. some caramel roasted malt balance.
feel - medium body and carbonation
Overall - really piney with that slight lemon citrus taste and well balanced with the caramel malts but all and all Im just not a fan of the beer.

Lightly hazed honey color with a 3 finger head. Lots of hop action here. Bubbly lace left behind.

Aromas of toffee, diacetyl, steamed broccoli and carrots, and citrus squirts. Interesting aroma but clearly flawed.

I don't know if it's just because I craved a beer, but although I KNOW it's bad, I'm still finding a reason to drink it. Lots of diacetyl here...baked biscuits, juicy hop, buttered popcorn, broccoli stems. But yet, as my palate is quenched beyond the initial enjoyment of just having a beer, I'm seeing that this is truly disgusting.

Feel is super carbonated, with some dry chalkiness.

Overall, this may just be as bad as Rhinelander's Sorta IPA. It's rather terrible, only a month past its freshness, and like drinking buttered vegetables doused in bittering agents. One of the worst IPA's in the world.

Poured from a 16oz can. The looks are promising, a clear glowing golden amber. Juicy IPA is what the looks tell me. Smell is bitter hops, funky, grassy, some sweetness followed by metallic notes. Really reminds me of the bitter IPAs that I used to drink before there were so many great beers to choose from. Taste is all bitter hops, sugar, and water. The citrus and passion fruit that the can describes are not present. Mouth feel is adequate but doesn't make up for the lacking flavors. Overall, I would suggest skipping this one.

A: crystal clear; deep gold in color; 1+ finger ivory head that receded to a thin cap; nice lacing;

S: earthy, then floral, then orange;

T: earthy caramel from start to finish; moderate bitterness at the end;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;

O: not especially interesting;
