Served on nitro draft at Sunspot in Knoxville TN. Arrives nearly opaque; dark violet and chocolate hues penetrate the murky liquid. Topped with a somewhat disappointing, for a nitro, mocha colored head, about one finger in size.

Aroma is severely muted. Nitro beers have a tendency to be somewhat muted, but someone turned the sound completely off and removed the speakers from this one. I get a little bit of dirty diaper. Not impressed.

Flavor seemed off too. No stout flavor. Maybe some alkalinity that is typical, but no roastiness or coffee. Severely disappointed.

Thin watery "stout" with a very burnt roasted flavor ... Not much going on here imo other than burnt grain..

Drink a 6 pack of cans and that will be my last time purchasing this brew..

This stout from the newly opened Turtle Anarchy brewery pours black as night (expected) with a rather thin and almost non-existant head.

Aroma has chocolate and roasted malts on it....almost burnt, really. Pretty dry.

Taste follows with a body of mostly bitter chocolate malts that pretty much dominate it with a roasted, almost burnt malt character. Again, very dry....and quite frankly, not really my style when it comes to stouts. The mouthfeel seems quite thin for the style as well. All in all, pretty average and run of the mill.

12oz can into a tulip appears dark brown to black in color with a brown cap.

Aroma consists of almost a nutty grain aspect mingled with roast, earth and almost a cola quality.

Taste is a bit herbal with a cola quality before a nutty grain feel mixes with earth and raisony alcohol.

Medium in body with modest carb. Its ok

A little too watered down for my liking.

It is a serviceable stout, but just nothing special about it. I just feel like it is missing something.

Medium body and not overly carbonated.

Jet black in color with no light penetration. There's a fingernail of beige resting on top. Heavy lacing. There's a plethora of dark malt in the nose. I taste plenty of dark malt, plum, and fig. The mouth is silky, creamy, and smooth.
