Cloudy with a bright gold color. The head is small but it leaves an initial ring of lace and few spots thereafter.
Mild, but balanced aroma.
The taste starts with a pale malt touch that has a died apricot and peachy flavor. The bittering hop comes in slowly and subtly. By the swallow, it is like black pepper and makes the aftertaste very dry. Body is rich for the style but the carbonation compensates for this. For a double IPA, this is well balanced with very little alcohol warmth.
