Bottled 10/10/14. Very boozy wonderful little Lebowski gem. Milk stouts aren't my favorite but barrel aged stouts are and this one does not disappoint. Great chocolate and whiskey notes. The Imperial moniker makes me wish it was a bit thicker and richer but still one of the best milk stouts I've had. This dude abides.

Thanks to @Kevinpitts for this one.
Pours deepest darkest mahogany. Dark cocoa colored head rises 2 fingers high and slowly recedes. Caramel colored lacing leaves anticipation. The smell is warm bourbon, molasses, chocolate, with hints of date. Taste is more of the same with a slightly hot bourbon. Finish is warm, sweet. Mouthfeel is solid and a bit creamy. Pretty good stuff.

S - huge but smooth spiced whisky and ciffee, milk chocolate, minimally peetey and some rich vanilla
T - sweet milk chocolate immediately followed by vanilla/waffle, oak, cinnimon and boozy spice. Finish is sweet, twangy chocolate
M - full bodied, velvet smooth. Sits heavy on the tongue

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass, with a thin khaki head that dissipates to a ring around the glass and wispy patches. Aroma of dark toasted malt, molasses, coffee, hints of dark stone fruit and vanilla. Flavor is a dark toasted malt base with coffee, dark chocolate, bourbon, light notes of dark stone fruit. Finishes with slightly sweet dark toasted malt, bourbon and light grassy hops. Medium bodied with light creaminess; good carbonation despite the light head. A nice malt body supports the bourbon notes well. Flavorful and well integrated flavors. The very light fruit flavor is well incorporated. Not much woody barrel flavor, but the bourbon adds a great flavor. A well made, enjoyable barreled stout (or imperial porter as labeled … I agree with the style applied here, this is comparable in flavor to any barreled stout). Good stuff. I'll look for more from this contract brewer if it ever shows up anywhere.

Lots of alcohol flavor at first. Mild chocolate flavor as well. As it warmed though, became smoother and more cohesive. At a warmer temperature, it was quite enjoyable.
Had again in April 2016. This beer is losing its great flavor aged this long. Would drink now if you have it.
