Notes: Massive bitter, crazy clean and dry, and so much Australian Galaxy hop, you'll be googling Crocodile Dundee and throwing shrimp on the barbee.

On tap at the brewery.

A: Pours a nearly opaque, murky golden/orange color. Almost no head forms and no lace. Not a very attractive pour, and looks rather lifeless.
S: A dominate and almost entirely fruity hop aroma. Juicy, passion fruit, and grapefruit are the entire show. This shows of the Galaxy hop profile nicely, but just not exceptional...IMO of coarse.
T: Up front is a more juicy hop flavor with some passion fruit and orange rind. Grapefruit comes next and dominates with to much bitterness in the finish. The bitterness becomes way to aggressive for me.
M/O: A medium body, with lower than expected carbonation. Not flat at all, but was hoping for a more effervescent bite. Very dry in the finish, which is nice. It took me quite a while to finish a pint. The bitterness just became a little overwhelming for me.

Grapefruit bitterness becomes the show. While I think that is exactly what Brash wanted to make, it just fell flat for me. Like many of their IPA's, it becomes too one noted, overly bitter to enjoy, and boring at best.

Finally, a "juicy" IPA from the Houston area. Like others have said, definitely some grapefruit. However, the balance between the malt backbone and bitterness at the end is nice enough to warrant this beer 3 thumbs up

Pours a murky orange with a white head that leaves minimal lacing. Smell is all fresh hops, with some pineapple, lots of tropical fruits and orange peel. Taste is juicy, grapefruit, citrus with a bitter lingering finish. It's not quite as thirst quenching as the smell with the bitterness but it is a really enjoyable IPA. Brash is known for in your face beers, and this is along the lines of that, but not as intensely bitter as some others. Enjoyed this one quite a bit.

Disclaimer: This review will be based off of fresh, as that's how it was intended.

L: Pretty hazy, pineapple juice like color. Not TH turbid, but fantastic for an American yeast strain.

S: Wow, tons of grassy mangoes. This is incredible. Some light malt is there to balance, but it's mostly mango.

T: Very similar to the nose. The grassy mango finish is fantastic. Very solid bitterness which is the only detractor here.

F: Great. Medium full and creamy. Just a little bit too much bitterness to be perfect.

O: I think my favorite Brash beer yet. Love the grassy character and it's pretty tropical and juicy. Definitely the most so out of Houston.

Note: As this ages a few weeks, it definitely falls off and the malt shows more. Not as juicy, but the grassy character still holds well. Probably around a 4.3 after a few weeks.

Enjoyable beer. I’m leaning more toward an APA in malt and body and IPA in hops. Would like a tad more caramel malt and a bit more finishing hops. Flavor is very clean, maybe too clean. Some esters would be nice. But those are all “tweaks” I would personally prefer.
