Nose is a ton of juicy hops. Mango, pineapple, citrus. Some pine. Taste follows. Very dominate tropical fruit flavors. Mango, pear, peach. Pretty good amount of bitterness as well. Bitterness lingers on the finish. Another home rub from brash if you love crazy hoppy beers. Pale ale, though? Nah, definitely more of an IPA in terms of hop profile. No complaints, though. Great beer.

On tap at a few places around Houston. Most recently at D&T.
A: Pours with a slight haze, but not murky or cloudy that seems to be all the rage now. A two finger white head with good retention and lace left down the glass.
S: A big hop character here, as you would expect from Brash. A big fruity aroma that is not quite "juicy" but still plenty intriguing. Tropical, but more stone fruits like mango and cantaloupe. Becomes more like citrus rind and grapefruit in the finish. Almost nonexistent malts, which is to be expected. Some substantial bitterness, but impressed that this is not over done in anyway.
T: Like the nose, lots of hop flavors coming through. Anybody will be hard pressed to nail any one down, but I think I can come up with stone fruits and citrus. Melon/cantaloupe with citrus and grapefruit. Bitterness lingers, but never becomes over done.
M/O: A medium body with a crisp effervescent bite. Smooth at the same time. Something I can come back to for multiple pints. For me, that is saying something with Brash.
Really impressed here. I will still say that new "American Pale Ale's" are basically dead. This is an IPA. No malt character that I can pick out. Though hop character is really good, and much more depth than the typical bitterness that Brash has put out in the past. I think they are getting cleaner and more refined, and this is a good example of that. Well done.
