Pours a pitch black color with a thin brown foamy head. Retention is mild. Lacing is very good. Strong coffee aroma with some roasted malts. Very little chocolate. Taste goes the same way, except there is a little more dark chocolate on the end. Medium to heavy bodied way it mild to moderate carbonation.

On tap at Southside Espresso (20-Jan-18), served in a bulbous, 12 oz Sixpoint Resin glass. Deeply dark and inky, with a nice, tight head of khaki foam and lingering lace. Big aromas and flavor of darkly roasted malts with strong coffee and softer cacao. Rounded out with slight malty sweetness and charred bitter notes. Medium to full bodied without being sticky; moderately carbonated. Bold and coffee-forward while still very drinkable. Paired seamlessly with an espresso.

Draft pour to snifter, black, tight brown head, good lacing. Roast coffee nose, hint of cream. Biggest coffee beer ever. It's just all coffee with a silky finish. Surprisingly light on bitterness. Heavy body and average carbonation.

Pour is a very dark brown, nearing black hue with an off white khaki colored head. Great lacing. Coffee forward aroma, smells like a fresh brewed Starbucks coffee. Sweet lacto and hints of roasted malt. Taste follows the nose well, big freshly brewed cold pressed coffee. And that's pretty much the jist of it. Hints of roasted malt bitterness in the back end. Mouthfeel is relatively thin, but palate coating nonetheless. Definitely one of the better local coffee flavored stouts I've had from Texas. Brash never disappoints.

Served from a 32oz crowler.

Pours motor oil black with 1/2 finger of head. Strong aromas of java and coffee. Taste is coffee up front with plenty of bitterness and dark roasted malt flavor. Full-body and thick mouthfeel. Overall, this is one of the most coffee-forward beers I have ever had. Its certainly over-the-top as far as a coffee stout is concern, the thick mouthfeel and bitterness are incredibly satisfying to both the coffee lover and someone who appreciates hefty stouts. This is world-class, if you have no disregard for balance.

Nose and palate are just a stupid amount of coffee. Like drinking an alcoholic cup of coffee. No balance. All coffee. As it warms a bit of chocolate and roasted malt begins to surface, but still definitely dominated by the coffee. That said, it's delicious. Will drink / seek out again.
